We hear your request, and we understand the desire for relief from what may feel like burdensome appointments. However, we must approach this with wisdom and discernment, guided by Scripture. The Bible encourages us to seek godly wisdom in all things, including our health. Proverbs 19:20-21 (WEB) tells us, "Hear counsel, receive instruction, and accept correction, that you may be wise in the time to come. There are many plans in a man’s heart, but Yahweh’s counsel will prevail."
While we trust in God’s sovereignty and His ability to heal, we are also called to be good stewards of the bodies He has given us. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (WEB) reminds us, "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." Canceling appointments without seeking God’s will or considering the wisdom of medical professionals may not align with His plan for your care.
Let us pray together, seeking God’s will in this matter:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who alone gives us access to Your throne of grace. Lord, we lift up this request to You, asking for Your wisdom and discernment. You know the concerns and fears that may be driving this desire to cancel appointments, and we ask that You would bring peace and clarity to this situation. Father, if these appointments are not in alignment with Your will, we ask that You would make that clear and provide a way forward that honors You. If they are part of Your plan for healing and care, we ask that You would grant strength, patience, and trust in Your provision.
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of fear or anxiety that may be influencing this request. We declare that perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18), and we trust in Your love to guide us. Help us to walk in faith, knowing that You are our healer and provider. If there is any unconfessed sin or unforgiveness in this situation, we ask for Your conviction and the strength to repent and seek reconciliation.
Father, we also pray for the doctors and caregivers involved. Give them wisdom, compassion, and discernment as they seek to provide care. May their efforts be guided by Your hand, and may they be instruments of Your peace and healing.
Above all, Lord, we ask that Your will be done in this matter. May Your name be glorified, and may Your purposes be fulfilled. We trust in You, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to seek the Lord in prayer and ask for His guidance regarding these appointments. Consider fasting and seeking counsel from trusted, godly believers who can help you discern God’s will. Remember, James 1:5 (WEB) tells us, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." Trust that God will lead you in the path of righteousness for His name’s sake.
