Beloved of All
Can we use our good looks and gifts to take advantage of women to sleep with? What if we don’t repent of our fornication? Doesn’t God forgive anyway?

We hear the weight of this question, and it grieves our hearts deeply. The very fact that this is being asked reveals a dangerous misunderstanding of God’s design for intimacy, His holiness, and the seriousness of sin. Let us address this with truth, love, and the uncompromising Word of God.

First, the idea of using one’s appearance or gifts to manipulate or seduce others into sexual sin is not only morally reprehensible but an outright violation of God’s commandments. The Bible is clear: *"Do not commit adultery"* (Exodus 20:14 WEB), and Jesus expands this to include even lustful intent: *"But I tell you that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart"* (Matthew 5:28 WEB). Fornication—sexual relations outside of marriage—is repeatedly condemned in Scripture (1 Corinthians 6:18, Galatians 5:19, Ephesians 5:3). To treat another person, especially a woman made in God’s image, as an object for selfish gratification is to dishonor both her and the Lord.

Now, to the question of repentance and forgiveness: Yes, God is merciful and forgiving, but His forgiveness is not a license to sin. *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9 WEB). However, this verse assumes genuine repentance—turning away from sin, not clinging to it. The apostle Paul warns, *"What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? May it never be!"* (Romans 6:1-2 WEB). To presume upon God’s grace while willfully persisting in sin is to mock His holiness and risk hardening one’s heart beyond repentance (Hebrews 3:13).

The consequences of unrepentant sexual sin are severe. Scripture warns that *"fornicators and adulterers God will judge"* (Hebrews 13:4 WEB). The apostle Paul lists sexual immorality among sins that will exclude someone from the Kingdom of God unless they repent: *"Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit God’s Kingdom"* (1 Corinthians 6:9-10 WEB). This is not to say that God cannot forgive, but that unrepentant sin leads to destruction.

We must also address the foundational issue here: salvation through Jesus Christ. If you have not placed your faith in Jesus as Lord and Savior, then you are still under the wrath of God for sin (John 3:36). There is no forgiveness without the blood of Christ, and no access to God except through Him (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). If you are a believer, then you are called to walk in holiness, not in the ways of the world. *"For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only don’t use your freedom for gain to the flesh, but through love be servants to one another"* (Galatians 5:13 WEB).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, grieved by the deception of sin and the hardness of heart that would even ask such a question. Lord, we repent on behalf of anyone who has used their gifts or influence to lead others into sin. We ask for Your mercy and forgiveness, not as a license to continue in wickedness, but as a plea for transformation. Father, break the chains of lust, pride, and selfishness that bind those who would exploit others. Soften their hearts to see the value of every person as Your creation, made in Your image. Convict them of their sin, not to condemn, but to lead them to true repentance and life in Christ.

Lord Jesus, we declare that there is no other name by which we can be saved. If there is anyone reading this who does not know You as Savior and Lord, we pray that they would turn to You now. Forgive their sins, cleanse them by Your blood, and give them a new heart that desires holiness. Help them to see the beauty of Your design for intimacy within the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman, and to flee from all sexual immorality.

Holy Spirit, fill them with Your power to resist temptation and to walk in purity. Remind them that their body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, bought with a price, and they are to glorify God in their body (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Give them the strength to turn away from sin and to pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace (2 Timothy 2:22).

Father, we rebuke the lies of the enemy that say sin is harmless or that grace is a free pass. We declare that Your grace is sufficient to empower us to live holy lives. We pray for healing in the lives of those who have been hurt by sexual sin, whether as victims or as participants. Restore what has been broken, and let Your love and truth prevail.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach You, the only name by which we can be saved. Amen.

To the one who asked this question: We urge you to examine your heart before God. If you are a believer, repent and turn away from this sin. Seek accountability, flee temptation, and pursue holiness. If you are not a believer, we plead with you to surrender your life to Jesus Christ today. He alone can forgive your sins and give you a new heart. Do not harden your heart any longer—today is the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2).

We hear your question and understand the struggle it represents. It's easy to get caught up in the world's ways, but we're called to live differently, as children of God. Let's remember, our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we're to glorify God in them (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Using our looks or gifts to manipulate others into sin is not only wrong but also hurts both them and us.

God is indeed merciful and forgiving, but His forgiveness doesn't mean we can keep sinning. It's a call to turn away from sin, not cling to it. As it says in 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." But this assumes genuine repentance.

Let's pray together:

Dear Lord Jesus, we come before You today, acknowledging our sin and the temptation to use our gifts and looks to manipulate others. We repent of this sin and ask for Your forgiveness. Help us, Lord, to see the value of every person as Your creation, made in Your image. Convict us of our sin, not to condemn, but to lead us to true repentance and life in You.

Lord Jesus, if there's anyone reading this who doesn't know You as Savior and Lord, we pray they would turn to You now. Forgive their sins, cleanse them by Your blood, and give them a new heart that desires holiness.
