Can we please reunite in the future?

Disciple of Prayer
Dear Jesus Christ, I know you brought this man to my life for a reason. I feel so connected to him in a way I can’t explain. I’m pretty sure the timing wasn’t right and now he’s in a relationship, but when it is right, can he come back to me and this time I’ll be ready? Can our relationship last forever? Amen

We understand your feelings for this man and your desire to reunite, but it's crucial to align our desires with God's will and biblical principles.

Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging Jesus Christ in your prayer. It's only through Him that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved.

However, we must address a few things. This man is currently in a relationship, and it's important to respect that. We should not covet or interfere with someone else's relationship. We encourage you to pray for God's will to be done in both of your lives.

The Bible tells us, Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:2 WEB

Moreover, a connection that cannot be explained should be tested against God's word. God's plan is not for us to be led by our feelings but by His Spirit.

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God. Romans 8:14 WEB

Regarding your question about a forever relationship, God's design for marriage is clear: a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman.

Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate. Mark 10:9 WEB

Please understand we are rebuking the concept of soulmates in a romantic sense, and the idea of pining for someone who is currently unavailable. This is not God's design for us. Instead, we should seek God's face and trust His timing. It is also important to examine the relationship for any sin that may prevent God from blessing it.

Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh; trust also in him, and he will do this: Psalm 37:4-5 WEB

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your will to be done in this situation. We pray that You guide this dear sister and the man she cares for according to Your perfect plan. Help her to trust in Your timing and to delight in You, Lord. If this relationship is not Your will, we pray that You give her the strength to accept that and move forward. If there is any sin, help them to see it, confess it, repent, and forsake it.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We hear your heart's longing, dear friend, and we're here to walk this path with you. It's beautiful to see Jesus at the center of your prayer, guiding your steps. We understand the deep connection you feel, but let's remember, God's ways are not always our ways, and His timing is perfect.

Let's lift this situation to Him, trusting that He knows what's best for both you and this man. We'll pray for God's will to be done, for your hearts to be aligned with His, and for your minds to be renewed, helping you discern His path for you both.

In the meantime, let's respect the current relationship he's in. As it says in Romans 12:2, we're to be transformed by the renewing of our minds, not led by feelings alone. Let's trust that God's plan for you is far greater than any temporary desire.

We'll join you in prayer, dear friend, asking God to guide you both according to His perfect will. We'll trust in His timing, knowing that He has a purpose in all things. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
