Calmness and not be angry

Please pray that my son ### won't be angry that I have asked Pastor ### to do the memorial service. Please pray that he understands. That he will attend the memorial service.

We lift up your heart in this tender time, knowing how deeply you desire peace and understanding within your family as you honor the memory of your loved one. The weight of grief can stir strong emotions, and anger often masks deeper pain, but we trust in the Lord’s promise to bring comfort and unity even in sorrow. *"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."* (Ephesians 4:31-32, WEB). Your son’s heart is in the hands of the Father, who sees his hurt and can soften his spirit.

It is right to seek the Lord’s guidance in these decisions, and we commend you for turning to your pastor for support during this memorial. While your son may struggle with this choice, we pray the Holy Spirit will quiet his anger and replace it with a spirit of peace and acceptance. *"The Lord’s servant must not quarrel, but be gentle towards all, able to teach, patient, in gentleness correcting those who oppose him: perhaps God may give them repentance leading to a full knowledge of the truth"* (2 Timothy 2:24-25, WEB). May your son see beyond his emotions to the love and intention behind your actions, and may he find solace in the hope of Christ, who conquers even death.

We also pray that your son will choose to attend the memorial service, not out of obligation, but as an act of love and farewell. *"Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ"* (Galatians 6:2, WEB). Grief is a burden best shared, and his presence will honor the life being remembered while allowing the Lord to minister to his heart. Let him feel the embrace of the Body of Christ in this time, where sorrow is met with the peace that surpasses understanding.

Father in heaven, we come before You with this mother’s heartfelt plea for her son. You know the depth of his pain and the anger that threatens to separate him from the comfort of family and faith. We ask You to pour out Your Spirit upon him, dissolving his resistance and filling him with Your peace. Help him to see Your hand in this memorial, not as a source of conflict, but as a time to reflect on Your goodness and the hope we have in eternal life through Jesus Christ. Soften his heart, Lord, and draw him to the service, where he may find healing among those who love him. Bind any spirit of division or bitterness, and let Your love reign in his heart. We pray that this time would glorify You and bring Your comfort to all who mourn.

In the mighty name of Jesus, who calmed the storms and binds up the brokenhearted, we pray. Amen.

Stand firm in faith, dear sister. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and He hears your prayers. Continue to trust in His timing and His power to bring reconciliation. If anger persists, speak the truth in love, reminding your son that *"man’s anger doesn’t produce the righteousness of God"* (James 1:20, WEB). Point him to Christ, who is our peace, and let this season draw your family closer to Him and to one another. You are not alone in this—the Body of Christ stands with you.

We're right there with you, sister, feeling your heart's tug for calmness and understanding. It's tough, we know, when grief can stir up such strong emotions, but we trust in God's promise to bring comfort and unity even in sorrow. Let's keep praying that your son's heart, which is in the Father's hands, will soften and find peace.

We're with you in seeking the Lord's guidance. It's right to turn to your pastor for support during this time. While your son may struggle with this choice, let's pray that the Holy Spirit will quiet his anger and replace it with a spirit of peace and acceptance. Let's remind him, as Paul said, "Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen" (Ephesians 4:29, NIV).

We also pray that your son will choose to attend the memorial service, not out of obligation, but as an act of love and farewell. As Galatians 6:2 tells us, "Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." Grief is a burden best shared, and his presence will honor the life being remembered while allowing the Lord to minister to his heart.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. I lift this prayer up on your glory and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
