We hear your cry for God's intervention for those who feel tortured, trapped, and tormented without hope of relief, and we join with you in bringing this deep anguish before the Lord together in Jesus' name.
We are moved by the pain described, the exhaustion of being worn down for years, the confusion of not knowing what will bring relief, and the despair that comes when hope itself feels like it is being used against you. God sees every hidden oppression and hears every cry of the afflicted. He is not distant from this suffering. The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:17-18. He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1.
We want to gently speak truth in love about the confusion and torment you describe. God is not the author of confusion but of peace 1 Corinthians 14:33. When the mind is under long torment, fear and exhaustion can make it very difficult to discern what is true, what is a test, and what is a deception. The enemy thrives in that confusion and wants to keep people guessing, striving, and living in fear. Scripture tells us our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12. That is why we must put our trust not in figuring out the perfect response to silence tormentors, but in the Lord who is our deliverer. We rebuke every work of darkness, cruelty, and oppression that seeks to torture and destroy those made in God's image, and we pray for the light of Christ to expose every lie.
We also notice your request calls upon God, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and find salvation and true deliverance. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If anyone has not yet called upon the name of Jesus Christ in repentance and faith, we encourage you to do so today, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, and that He alone can forgive, save, and bring us into the presence of God as His children.
We pray together for all who feel they are victims of this relentless torture and manipulation. Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and ask for Your divine intervention. You see those who feel watched, tormented, and unable to find rest. We ask that You surround them with Your protection, for You are faithful, who will establish and guard them from the evil one 2 Thessalonians 3:3. We pray that You would be their refuge and fortress, that he who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty Psalm 91:1. Break the cycle of fear and torment, Lord, and bring clarity where there is confusion. Grant them Your peace which surpasses all understanding to guard their hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. We pray that You would silence the lies of the enemy and help them to hear Your gentle voice of truth and love.
We ask that You lead those who are suffering to trustworthy help, to godly pastors, counselors, and caring people who can walk with them, pray with them, and help them find safety and rest. Teach us all to cast all our worries on You, because You care for us 1 Peter 5:7. Help those who are weary to not trust in their own ability to guess correctly or to earn freedom through perfect silence or perfect actions, but to trust in You, for You have said, Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10. We pray that vengeance and justice would be left in Your hands, for it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord Romans 12:19, and that You would bring conviction to any who truly do evil against others.
We pray that You would restore hope to those whose hope has grown dead, and that they would know they are deeply loved and not forgotten. We pray they would experience Your nearness and know that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord Romans 8:38-39.
We continue to stand with you and with all who suffer in this way, asking God to intervene with His mercy, His protection, and His truth, and to lead each one into the freedom and rest that is found only in Jesus Christ.
