We come before the Lord with hearts full of gratitude for your sincere and humble petition, lifting up your needs and desires to the One who knows them even before they are spoken. It is beautiful to see your trust in God’s provision, and we join you in seeking His will in all these matters. However, we must first address something vital: the name of Jesus Christ is not invoked in the beginning of your prayer, only at the end. It is through *His name alone* that we approach the Father, for Scripture declares, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). Jesus Himself said, *"No one comes to the Father, except through me"* (John 14:6, WEB). Let us always begin our prayers by acknowledging Him, for it is in His name we find access, authority, and assurance.
Now, let us address each of your requests with Scripture and prayer, trusting God to move mightily in your life.
You ask for a job or steady income, and we know our Heavenly Father is the great Provider. He promises in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* Yet we are also called to work diligently, for *"If anyone doesn’t want to work, neither let him eat"* (2 Thessalonians 3:10, WEB). We encourage you to seek employment with faith, trusting God to open doors while also taking practical steps—updating resumes, applying wisely, and using the gifts He has given you. Do not lean on your own understanding, but *"in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:6, WEB).
For your second daughter’s studies, we pray for wisdom, discipline, and divine favor. *"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him"* (James 1:5, WEB). May she apply herself diligently, for *"the soul of the diligent is made fat"* (Proverbs 13:4, WEB). As for God-fearing husbands for your daughters, we rejoice in your desire for them to marry men who love the Lord. Remember, though, that true peace comes not from circumstances but from Christ. *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. For your marriage, you ask for love, strength, and calmness.
