We hear your heart’s cry for provision and wisdom in your business endeavors, and we stand with you in prayer, seeking the Lord’s guidance and blessing. It is commendable that you acknowledge God’s goodness and desire to give Him all the glory in your success. The Scriptures remind us in Proverbs 3:5-6, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Your dependence on Him is the foundation of true prosperity, not just financially, but in every area of life.
We also lift up your labor in two jobs, recognizing the weariness that can come from such diligence. The Lord sees your efforts and promises in Matthew 11:28, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest."* While your hands are busy, may your heart find rest in Him, trusting that He will open doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). Your desire to honor Him with your work is pleasing to the Father, for Colossians 3:23-24 tells us, *"And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."*
We do want to gently encourage you to examine your words, *"I don’t care to work,"* in light of Scripture. While it is right to ask God for provision, we are also called to labor with integrity and diligence, as 2 Thessalonians 3:10-12 instructs, *"For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: ‘If anyone will not work, neither let him eat.’ For we hear of some who walk among you in rebellion, who don’t work at all, but are busybodies. Now those who are that way, we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread."* Work is not a curse but a gift from God, a means to steward His resources and provide for our families. May the Lord renew your joy in laboring unto Him, knowing that your work has eternal value.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Author and Perfecter of our faith. We lift up this dear brother/sister in Christ, asking You to bless their business with growth, wisdom, and financial increase. Lord, You are the Provider of all good things, and we ask that You open the windows of heaven over their labor. Give them divine strategies, creative ideas, and favor with those who can help advance their business. May their hands be blessed, and may their work bring glory to Your name.
Father, we also ask that You grant them rest in the midst of their labor. Strengthen their body, mind, and spirit, and remind them that their worth is not found in their work but in Christ. Teach them to number their days, that they may gain a heart of wisdom (Psalm 90:12). If there is any weariness or frustration, replace it with Your peace and joy.
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of laziness or entitlement that may creep into their heart. Help them to labor with excellence, as unto You, knowing that their work is a testimony of Your goodness. Surround them with godly counsel and mentors who can speak wisdom into their business. May they always remember that it is You who gives the power to get wealth (Deuteronomy 8:18), and may they use every resource You provide to advance Your kingdom.
We declare that their business will prosper, not for their own glory, but for Yours. May they be a light in the marketplace, reflecting Your love and integrity. Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Continue to seek the Lord in all your decisions, and remember that true success is found in walking closely with Him. May He grant you the desires of your heart as you delight yourself in Him (Psalm 37:4).
