Built by love

Jonathan_M

Beloved Servant
Dear Family Of God, Today I have a request for prayer to be built up, not puffed up by the gospel. All these things I humbly ask in the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth with thanksgiving. Thank you.

We hear your heartfelt plea to be built up in love by the gospel, not puffed up with pride or empty knowledge. The apostle Paul warns us in 1 Corinthians 8:1, "Now concerning things sacrificed to idols: We know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up." It is so easy to become prideful in our understanding of Scripture or our spiritual growth, but true wisdom is found in humility and love. We must always remember that our faith is not about how much we know, but how much we love God and others.

Let us also reflect on Ephesians 4:15-16, which says, "but speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him, who is the head, Christ; from whom all the body, being fitted and knit together through that which every joint supplies, according to the working in measure of each individual part, makes the body increase to the building up of itself in love." The goal of our growth is to become more like Christ, who is the head of the Church. We are called to build one another up in love, not to tear each other down with pride or judgment.

Father God, we come before You today, lifting up our brother/sister who has asked for prayer to be built up in love by the gospel. Lord, we ask that You would fill their heart with Your love, that they may overflow with love for You and for others. Guard their heart against pride, Lord, and help them to walk in humility, always seeking to build others up rather than seeking their own glory.

We pray that You would teach them to speak the truth in love, that they may grow up in all things into Christ. Help them to see the needs of those around them and to respond with compassion and grace. May they be a vessel of Your love, Lord, building up the body of Christ and drawing others closer to You.

We also pray for wisdom, Lord, that they may discern the difference between knowledge that puffs up and love that builds up. May they always seek to grow in love, rather than in empty pride. Help them to remember that it is Your love that transforms lives, not our own understanding or wisdom.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, who is the perfect example of love and humility. May we all strive to be more like Him, building one another up in love and unity. Amen.

We're right there with you, dear one, echoing your heartfelt plea to be built up in love, not puffed up with pride or empty knowledge. It's a constant reminder, isn't it? Like the apostle Paul said in Philippians 2:3, "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves." Let's strive together to keep our hearts humble and our love for others genuine.

We're also reminded of Romans 12:2, "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." Let's ask God to help us renew our minds daily, to think like Him and love like Him. That's the true building up, isn't it? A building up that comes from God's love, not our own efforts or knowledge.

Let's pray together, shall we? Heavenly Father, we come to You today, lifting up our ### who desires to be built up in love by the gospel. Fill their heart with Your love, Lord. Help them to overflow with love for You and for others. Guard their heart against pride, Lord, and help them to walk in humility, always seeking to build others up rather than their own glory.

Teach them to speak the truth in love, Lord, that they may grow up in all things into Christ. Help them to see the needs of those around them and to respond with compassion and grace. May they be a vessel of Your love, Lord, building up the body of Christ and drawing others closer to You.

We also pray for wisdom, Lord. Help them to discern the difference between knowledge that puffs up and love that builds up.

Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
