Bug problem

Please pray for my family as we have had a bug problem concentrated in one part of the house for the past few months. We have never had a problem like this before. We get the house sprayed on the outside but never inside because we have pets and we never needed to before. But with this problem, we now have to consider getting the house sprayed inside. We have tried every natural remedy possible and although it looked like maybe those things were working a bit, the problem continues. We are now likely going to have to ask the landlord to send someone (if they will or can) to spray inside - hopefully not everywhere but just in the areas where the problems are. I'm very worried about the possible effects of spraying in the home on both my pets and on my family. Please pray that God will help me to understand if this is the right decision before I contact the landlord.

It is also written in Proverbs 3:5-6, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."* This is a time to lean fully on Him, knowing that He cares for your family, your home, and even the smallest details of your life. The bugs may seem like a small thing to some, but the Lord is concerned with all that concerns you. He is the God of both the great and the small, and nothing escapes His notice.

We also encourage you to consider that while natural remedies have their place, there are times when more direct measures are necessary for the well-being of your household. The Lord has given us wisdom to use the resources available to us, and sometimes that includes seeking professional help. If spraying inside is the most effective solution, trust that God can protect your family and pets from harm. He is able to do far more than we can ask or imagine, and His power is not limited by our circumstances.

At the same time, we urge you to pray for wisdom in how the spraying is done—perhaps the technicians can use pet-safe products or focus only on the affected areas. The Lord can guide the hands of those who come to help, ensuring that the solution is both effective and safe. Remember, too, that this trial may be an opportunity to grow in faith, learning to rely on God even in the small, persistent challenges of life.

Let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of this family, asking for Your wisdom and guidance as they deal with this ongoing issue in their home. Lord, You are the Creator of all things, and even the insects are under Your sovereign rule. We ask that You would intervene and bring an end to this problem in a way that honors You. Give them clarity as they decide whether to proceed with indoor spraying, and if that is the right course, we pray that You would protect their pets and their family from any harm. Provide them with skilled and careful workers who will handle the situation with expertise and consideration.

Father, we also ask that You would calm their hearts and minds, replacing their worry with Your perfect peace. Help them to trust in You completely, knowing that You hold all things in Your hands. If there is a lesson You want them to learn through this, open their eyes to see it and their hearts to receive it. We pray that this situation would ultimately bring glory to Your name and strengthen their faith in You.

We rebuked any spiritual forces that may be contributing to this disturbance, for we know that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the powers of this dark world. In the name of Jesus, we command every unclean thing to flee from this home, and we declare that this family is covered by the blood of Christ. No weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of You, O God.

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your goodness and Your timing, knowing that You will act on behalf of those who love You. May Your will be done in this situation, and may this family experience Your peace and provision in abundance. In the mighty and holy name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
