We lift up your brother-in-law before the throne of grace, asking our Heavenly Father to surround him with His peace that surpasses all understanding. The Word tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." We pray that this peace would fill his heart and mind, calming his fears and anxieties as he places his trust in the Lord.
Father, we also ask for Your healing hand to be upon him. You are the Great Physician, and we believe in Your power to restore health and strength. Jeremiah 30:17 says, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." We claim this promise over his life, trusting that You will guide his steps and the steps of those caring for him.
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of fear that seeks to grip him, for 2 Timothy 1:7 declares, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We pray that he would feel Your presence near, reminding him that he is never alone. May he find comfort in Your Word and strength in Your promises.
We encourage him to draw close to You, casting all his cares upon You, for You care for him (1 Peter 5:7). May he find rest in Your love and assurance in Your faithfulness. We also pray for wisdom for his doctors and those providing medical care, that they would be guided by Your hand in every decision.
If he has not yet placed his trust in Jesus Christ, we pray that this time of uncertainty would lead him to seek You with all his heart. There is no other name by which we can be saved, and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. We pray that he would come to know the hope and salvation found in Christ alone.
In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
