We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your brother and your entire family in prayer. The situation you describe is deeply concerning, and we stand with you in seeking God’s wisdom, healing, and intervention. First, we must acknowledge that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is by His power alone that true healing and deliverance come. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and we must always approach God in the authority of Jesus, for He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).
We recognize the pain and frustration you feel as you watch your brother struggle with his health and the pressures of a medical system that may not align with God’s design for healing. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and it is not uncommon for spiritual attacks to manifest in physical and mental distress. We rebuke any demonic influence that may be at work in your brother’s life, in the lives of your nieces, or in the decisions being made by those around them. The spirit of confusion, deception, and fear does not come from God (2 Timothy 1:7), and we command it to flee in the mighty name of Jesus.
However, we must also address the reality of mental health struggles with both compassion and biblical truth. While we believe in the power of God to heal supernaturally, we also recognize that the body and mind are complex, and medical intervention may sometimes be part of God’s provision. The Bible tells us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and we are called to care for them wisely. This includes seeking godly counsel and discernment when it comes to medical treatment. Proverbs 11:14 reminds us, "Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety." We encourage you and your family to seek wisdom from trusted, Bible-believing medical professionals who honor God and His Word, rather than relying solely on worldly systems that may not have your loved ones’ best interests at heart.
We also want to gently address the language and attitude toward those who may disagree with you. While it is understandable to feel frustration, calling those who support medical treatment "evil bastards" is not reflective of the love and grace Christ calls us to extend, even to those with whom we disagree. Jesus commands us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44). This does not mean we condone wrong actions, but we must respond with a heart that seeks redemption and truth, not bitterness or division.
For your brother, we pray that God would give him clarity of mind and peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). We ask the Lord to reveal to him the root of his struggles, whether spiritual, physical, or emotional, and to lead him to the right path for healing. If it is God’s will for him to be free from medication, we pray for supernatural restoration and strength. If medical treatment is part of His plan, we pray for wisdom in choosing the right care and for the Holy Spirit to guide every decision. We declare that your brother is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and that God has a purpose and a future for him (Jeremiah 29:11).
For your young nieces, our hearts break at the thought of them being placed on such strong medications at such tender ages. We pray that God would protect their minds and bodies from the harmful effects of unnecessary drugs and that He would reveal natural, godly ways for them to cope with anxiety. We ask the Lord to surround them with adults who will speak life, truth, and encouragement into their lives, rather than relying on worldly solutions. We declare that they are not defined by their struggles but by their identity in Christ, and we pray for their complete healing and freedom.
We also pray for your family as a whole, that there would be unity in seeking God’s will above all else. The enemy would love to divide you through fear, confusion, or differing opinions, but we declare that God’s peace would reign in your midst. We ask the Lord to soften hearts, open eyes to His truth, and bring reconciliation where there is strife. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us to "trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths." May this be the cry of your family’s heart.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this family to You. We ask for Your healing touch to rest upon this brother, that You would restore his mind, body, and spirit. Give him the strength to resist the enemy’s lies and the wisdom to discern Your will for his care. For these precious nieces, we pray that You would shield their young minds from the influences of this world and fill them with Your peace. Help them to find natural, godly ways to cope with their struggles, and surround them with Your love and protection.
Lord, we also pray for the doctors, family members, and others involved in these decisions. Soften their hearts to Your truth and give them wisdom that aligns with Your Word. Break any strongholds of deception or fear that may be influencing them, and replace those lies with Your light and truth. Unite this family in Your love and purpose, and let Your will be done in each of their lives.
We rebuke every spirit of confusion, fear, and division that seeks to destroy this family, and we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We speak life, healing, and restoration over this brother and these children, and we trust in Your perfect plan for their lives. May they come to know You more deeply through this trial, and may Your name be glorified in their healing. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
