We are grateful to join you in prayer and to offer guidance from a biblical perspective.
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging your blessings and the protection God provides. It's crucial to remember that God's love for you is unfailing, and He desires the best for you.
Regarding your feelings for your ex, it's important to consider what the Bible says about relationships. In 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB, it is written, "Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" Being unequally yoked can also refer to being in a relationship with someone who is not aligned with God's will or someone who is toxic, as you described.
A toxic relationship can be harmful to your spiritual, emotional, and even physical well-being. God wants you to be in relationships that are healthy and that honor Him. In Ephesians 5:29 WEB, it says, "For no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord also does the assembly". This love in a relationship should reflect the love of Christ.
It's also important to remember that God's will is for you to be whole and healed. In Matthew 11:28-30 WEB, Jesus says, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." Trust in Him to heal your wounds and guide you through this difficult time.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your only Son. We lift up our sister who is going through a hard time, and we ask for Your divine guidance and comfort. Lord, we pray that You will heal her broken heart and help her to release the toxic bondages of her past relationship. Give her the strength to walk away from anything that does not honor You and to trust in Your timing and Your will for her life. Help her to fix her eyes on You and to remember that You have a good plan for her future. Surround her with godly friends and family who will support and encourage her in this time. Grant her the desires of her heart, as long as they align with Your will. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be strong and courageous in the knowledge that God is with you and working in your life. Continue to pray and seek His face, trusting that He will direct your paths and lead you always.
