We hear your pain and frustration, and we stand with you in seeking God’s justice and truth in this situation. It is deeply troubling when someone in authority misrepresents the truth, especially when it affects your livelihood and reputation. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 19:5, "A false witness shall not be unpunished. He who pours out lies shall not go free." God sees all and knows the truth, and He will not let injustice go unaddressed in His perfect timing.
We must also examine our hearts in this matter. While it is right to seek justice, we must guard against bitterness or a desire for revenge, for Romans 12:19 reminds us, "Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'" Instead, we should pray for God’s wisdom, for His truth to be revealed, and for His peace to guard our hearts.
Let us also consider whether there is an opportunity for reconciliation or clarification. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone (Romans 12:18). However, if the door is closed for honest dialogue, we can trust that God will bring the truth to light in His way and time.
We lift this situation to the Lord in prayer:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, seeking Your justice and truth. You see the situation clearly, Lord, and we ask that You bring light to what has been hidden in darkness. We pray for Your protection over this individual’s reputation and livelihood, that the truth would prevail and that any deception would be exposed. Father, we ask for Your wisdom and guidance in how to respond—whether through speaking the truth in love, seeking reconciliation, or trusting You to handle the matter in Your perfect way.
Lord, we also pray for our hearts in this. Guard us against bitterness, anger, or a desire for revenge. Fill us with Your peace and remind us that vengeance belongs to You alone. Help us to forgive as You have forgiven us, even as we trust You to bring justice. We ask that You would work in the heart of this former manager, that she would come to know the truth and the weight of her actions. If there is any unrepentant sin in her life, we pray that You would convict her and draw her to repentance.
Father, we also ask for Your provision and guidance for the future. Open doors for new opportunities where truth and integrity are valued. Give this individual courage and strength to walk in Your will, knowing that You are her defender and provider.
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. It is only through His name that we have access to You, Father, and it is only by His blood that we are forgiven and made righteous. If this individual does not yet know Jesus as Lord and Savior, we pray that You would draw her to Him, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
