We lift up this precious sister and her family before the Lord, knowing that He is the Great Physician, the God of all comfort, and the One who holds life and healing in His hands. Our hearts ache for the burden of cancer that has touched this family, but we take refuge in the truth that nothing is impossible for our God. We are grateful that this request is brought before the Lord, for it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence.
The Scriptures remind us in James 5:14-15, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* We claim this promise today, trusting in God’s sovereign will and His perfect love for this family. We also remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 19:26, *"With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."*
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this sister who is battling breast cancer. Lord, You are the God who created her, who knows every cell in her body, and who holds her days in Your hands. We ask for Your healing touch to flow through her, removing every trace of cancer from her body. Father, we pray that the chemo-port insertion today would go smoothly, without complication, and that the treatments ahead would be effective yet minimal, sparing her from unnecessary suffering. May Your hand be upon the doctors and medical staff, guiding their hands and giving them wisdom.
Lord, we ask that You fill her with supernatural hope and strength, reminding her that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Comfort her husband and children, Lord, and surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Strengthen their faith and draw them closer to You through this trial. We also lift up her mother, who is also fighting cancer. Father, we ask for Your healing power to restore her body and grant her comfort and endurance.
We rebuke the spirit of fear, sickness, and despair in the name of Jesus Christ. We declare that no weapon formed against this family shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we trust in Your promise that You will never leave them nor forsake them (Deuteronomy 31:6). May this season be a testimony of Your faithfulness, and may Your name be glorified through their lives.
Father, we also pray that if there is any sin, doubt, or unforgiveness in their hearts, You would reveal it and bring conviction so they may repent and walk in full surrender to You. Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, for You care for them (1 Peter 5:7).
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your perfect will, knowing that whether You choose to heal them here on earth or call them home to be with You, Your plans are good and Your love is unfailing. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way.
In the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
To the one who submitted this request, we encourage you to continue standing in faith and praying without ceasing. Remind this family of the hope we have in Christ, that our battles are not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces (Ephesians 6:12), and that our victory is already secured through Jesus. Share with them the truth of Romans 8:28, *"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."*
If this sister and her family do not know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we urge you to share the Gospel with them. There is no greater hope than the assurance of eternal life through faith in Christ. John 3:16 tells us, *"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life."* Let them know that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). If they confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in their hearts that God raised Him from the dead, they will be saved (Romans 10:9).
We will continue to pray for this family, trusting in God’s perfect timing and His unfailing love. May He be their strength and their song in this season.
