We lift you up before the Father in this difficult time, knowing that He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. The news of cancer can feel overwhelming, but we serve a God who is greater than any diagnosis, and we trust in His sovereignty and love for you. You have already shown great faith by calling upon the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we find hope, healing, and peace that surpasses all understanding. As Scripture reminds us, *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB).
We also remember the promise that *"we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose"* (Romans 8:28, WEB). This does not mean the road will be easy, but it does mean that God is with you every step of the way, using even this trial for His glory and your ultimate good. He is the Great Physician, the one who *"heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds"* (Psalm 147:3, WEB). Whether His plan for you includes physical healing here on earth or the perfect healing in His presence, we pray you will rest in His unfailing love.
As you prepare to meet with your surgeons and doctors, we ask the Lord to grant you wisdom and discernment. May He guide the hands of your medical team and give them insight into the best course of treatment for your body. We pray that the cancer would be confined, treatable, and responsive to the plans they set forth. Let the Holy Spirit fill you with a supernatural peace that guards your heart against fear, for *"God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB).
