Dear Servant of GOD
My daughter, NYAKALLO PHAMULI, wrote her matric exam in 2013, though she passed with a university entrance but performed badly on mathematics to enable her to take studies in commerce. In 2014 she attempted again, and slightly improved but not achieving a symbol necessary to qualify her to commerce. She again sat for exams last year, usually her writing exams is characterised by strange happenings, e.g. she has never before finished her maths paper due to severely painful menstruation.
October last year when going to write maths first paper, my car's gears jammed, she was forced to catch a cab to the exam centre at a short notice, nonetheless she made it on time. Later she discovered that she had left behind an ID which is a prerequisite to the exam centre. It was later discovered that she did not have an issued document that entitled her to sit for the exam, to her dismay, that was never issued to her and she was not advised about it until the day of the exam. When the invigilator issued question papers, she discovered that hers was short of a number of pages. When she raised an alarm about her situation, it was then discovered that there were no spare question papers available. She was told not to do anything until they have sorted the ID issue, the permit and the question paper. Ten minutes later after the commencement of the exam, the official brought a copy of the ID to confirm identity. But she could not commence because they were still sorting out her question paper story.
Quite frustrated and anxious, the official issued her a photocopied question paper long after everyone has started. For the first time she finished before the deadline and without impediment from dysmenorrhea. A day before her maths 2nd paper, severe painful menstruation attacked her. The 2nd paper was written in excruciating pain as the result, like in previous maths exams, she did not complete.
She went to the school to collect results, on the morning of the 13th of January 2016 and came back devastated, crying. She had just made a slight improvement on her maths results. She then decided to change the course for fine arts which was her speciality in high school. She was invited to audition at the university after applying. She succeeded and was accepted. She was sent an email advising her of the induction week and what she was expected to organise. We went to the university shop to buy the necessities, upon doing so we proceeded to the faculty to enquire about the registration. The faculty secretary said she’s been trying to contact us for that, she gave her a completed form to take to enrolment centre as a proof that the faculty was satisfied with her, for registration.
The contact person at the enrolment centre said my daughter scored less than the required score points, therefore she did not qualify. We stated to him that there were letters from the faculty to confirm that the faculty was pleased with her but that fell on deaf ear. He told us that the faculty has no authority to make a confirmation without first verifying with them, he then sent an email to faculty about the matter.
There’s a similar matter where a son of my prayer partner, though in a faculty of science, experience the same but the faculty overrode the enrolment centre and he was registered. My daughter will be going this coming Monday for induction with all she was ask to buy not being deterred by the attitude of the enrolment centre personnel. I am requesting a prayer for favour with the university that Monday be characterised by her registration and that the decision of the faculty prevail over the enrolment centre.
