We join you in lifting up your heart to the Father, giving thanks for His daily provision and mercy. Your gratitude is a beautiful reflection of a heart that recognizes God’s faithfulness, and we rejoice with you in His goodness. It is right to praise Him for His steadfast love, for He alone is worthy of all honor and glory.
We also commend you for your repentance, acknowledging your struggles with temper, unkind words, and sinful thoughts or deeds. The Scripture reminds us in 1 John 1:9, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* We pray that the Holy Spirit would continue to work in you, refining your heart and speech, that you may walk in increasing holiness and self-control. Let the words of Ephesians 4:29 guide you: *"Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear."*
Now, let us address your requests with the truth of God’s Word, that your prayers may align with His will and purposes.
First, regarding your prayer to win a large sum of money in your company’s anniversary event, we urge you to consider the heart behind this request. While God is able to provide in extraordinary ways, we must ask ourselves whether such a desire stems from trust in Him or from a longing for worldly security. The Bible warns us in 1 Timothy 6:10, *"For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows."* Instead of focusing on sudden wealth, let us pray for God’s provision in ways that draw you closer to Him and allow you to be a good steward of what He entrusts to you. Proverbs 30:8-9 offers wisdom: *"Remove far from me falsehood and lies. Give me neither poverty nor riches. Feed me with the food that is needful for me; lest I be full, deny you, and say, ‘Who is Yahweh?’ or lest I be poor, and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God."* We pray that God would provide for your needs—neither too little nor too much—but just enough to keep your heart dependent on Him.
For your request for employment, we lift this up with you, asking that God would open the right door for you if it is His will. Colossians 3:23 reminds us, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men."* We pray that you would seek not just any job, but one where you can honor God with your labor and be a light to those around you. If this position aligns with His plan, may He grant you favor in the eyes of your potential employers. If not, may He redirect your steps to something even better, where you can grow in faith and service.
Your prayers for health, longevity, and protection over your family and loved ones are commendable. We join you in asking for God’s healing touch upon the sick and His salvation for the lost. Psalm 91 is a powerful reminder of His protection: *"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. ... He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart."* We pray that God would surround your family with His angels, preserving them from harm and drawing each one closer to Himself. May your pets and all living creatures under your care also experience His provision and peace.
We also lift up your family businesses, asking that God would grant wisdom, integrity, and favor in all your endeavors. Proverbs 16:3 says, *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* May your businesses thrive not for the sake of wealth alone, but as a means to bless others and advance God’s kingdom. We also pray for the extension of your family’s permit to stay in Canada. If it is God’s will, may He make a way where there seems to be no way, and may your time there be used for His glory.
Regarding your request for continued sales and financial breakthrough, we encourage you to seek first God’s kingdom and His righteousness, trusting that He will add what you need (Matthew 6:33). It is good to work diligently and pray for provision, but let us also pray that your heart would remain content in Him, whether in abundance or in need. Philippians 4:19 assures us, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."*
Finally, we notice that while you invoked the name of Jesus at the end of your prayer, much of your prayer was directed broadly to "O God" without specifically anchoring your requests in the name and authority of Jesus Christ. This is a vital distinction, for Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* It is only through faith in Jesus Christ—His death on the cross for our sins and His resurrection—that we have access to the Father. If you have not already surrendered your life to Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Romans 10:9-10 declares, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."* There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is in His name alone that we can boldly approach the throne of grace.
With these things in mind, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for Your goodness and faithfulness to this Your child, who seeks Your face with a heart of gratitude and repentance. Lord, we ask that You would continue to mold them into the image of Christ, refining their speech, thoughts, and actions that they may bring glory to Your name.
Father, we lift up their financial needs to You, asking not for riches that could lead their heart astray, but for daily bread and the ability to meet their obligations. Provide for them in ways that deepen their trust in You. If it is Your will, open the door for employment that aligns with Your purposes, and grant them favor in the eyes of those in authority. May their work be a testimony of Your grace and excellence.
We pray for their family’s health, longevity, and protection. Heal the sick, Lord, and draw the lost to salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. Shield their loved ones from disaster, both natural and man-made, and let Your peace guard their hearts and minds. We ask for Your blessing upon their family businesses, that they would prosper not for greed but for the advancement of Your kingdom. Grant them wisdom, integrity, and a heart to serve others through their labor. If it is Your will, extend their permit to stay in Canada, and use their time there for Your glory.
Father, we also pray that they would grow in their understanding of the power and necessity of the name of Jesus. May they come to know Him not just as a name to invoke at the end of prayers, but as the very foundation of their faith and relationship with You. If they have not yet fully surrendered to Him, we ask that You would reveal His lordship to them in a fresh and transformative way. Let them experience the joy and freedom that comes from walking in obedience to Him.
We rebuke any spirit of greed, anxiety, or distrust that may seek to take root in their heart. Replace it, Lord, with a spirit of contentment, generosity, and unwavering faith in Your provision. Remind them that You are their Shepherd, and they shall lack no good thing (Psalm 23:1).
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your perfect will. May Your name be glorified in every answer, whether it aligns with our desires or leads us down a different path. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them rest in the assurance that You are working all things together for their good and Your glory.
In the precious and holy name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
