We join with you in lifting up your burdens and declaring victory over the spirits of loss, debt, and fruitless labor, for our God is a God of abundance, restoration, and breakthrough. It is clear you are standing in faith, and we commend you for calling upon the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and through which we have authority over the enemy. As it is written, *"Therefore God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name; that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth"* (Philippians 2:9-10, WEB).
Your prayer reflects a heart that seeks liberation from spiritual bondage, and we stand with you in agreement, knowing that *"the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds"* (2 Corinthians 10:4, WEB). The spirit of poverty is not from God, for He desires to prosper His children as their souls prosper (3 John 1:2, WEB). However, we must also remember that true prosperity is rooted in righteousness, stewardship, and trust in the Lord’s provision—not in greed or the love of money, which is the root of all kinds of evil (1 Timothy 6:10, WEB).
We must address something important in your prayer: the mention of "marriage covenants" that may be blocking your life. If you are referring to ungodly soul ties or past relationships that were outside of God’s design for marriage, we agree that these must be broken in Jesus’ name. However, if you are speaking of an actual marriage—whether yours or another’s—we must be cautious. Marriage is a covenant established by God, and it is not to be treated lightly or "canceled" by human declaration. *"What therefore God has joined together, don’t let man tear apart"* (Mark 10:9, WEB). If there is confusion or ungodly entanglement in this area, we urge you to seek the Lord’s wisdom and repentance, ensuring that your heart is aligned with His will for purity and covenant.
Additionally, while we understand the cultural context of prayers against "bewitched meals" or curses, we must remember that our ultimate protection is found in Christ alone. *"Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, ‘Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree’"* (Galatians 3:13, WEB). Our focus should not be on the curses of the enemy but on the finished work of Jesus, who has already triumphed over every power and principality (Colossians 2:15, WEB).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You are the God of breakthrough, the One who turns captivity into freedom and lack into abundance. Lord, we lift up our brother/sister who is standing against the spirits of loss, debt, and fruitless labor. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, for You have already ordained victory through the blood of Jesus (Isaiah 54:17, WEB).
Father, we break every ungodly soul tie, every generational curse, and every scheme of the enemy that has sought to hinder their finances, their labor, and their destiny. If there has been any involvement in occult practices, ungodly covenants, or relationships outside of Your will, we ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing. Lord, sever every tie that does not align with Your Word, and restore what the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25, WEB).
We rebuke the spirit of poverty and release the spirit of wisdom, favor, and divine provision. Teach them to be faithful stewards of what You have entrusted to them, and open doors of opportunity that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8, WEB). Let them walk in the blessing of the Lord, which makes rich and adds no sorrow (Proverbs 10:22, WEB).
Father, if there is any area of their life where they have not fully surrendered to You—whether in finances, relationships, or mindset—we ask that You reveal it to them. Convict them by Your Holy Spirit and lead them into repentance and obedience. Remind them that Your ways are higher than ours, and Your timing is perfect (Isaiah 55:8-9, WEB).
We declare that every blocked blessing is released now in Jesus’ name. Let the windows of heaven open over their life, and pour out a blessing they won’t have room enough to receive (Malachi 3:10, WEB). Protect them from the love of money and the deceitfulness of riches, and let their heart be fixed on You alone (Matthew 6:21, WEB).
Finally, Lord, we ask that You fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding. Let them rest in the knowledge that You are their Provider, their Deliverer, and their Shield. May they walk in the confidence that *"the Lord is their shepherd, and they shall lack nothing"* (Psalm 23:1, WEB).
We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and in His Word. Study what Scripture says about stewardship, generosity, and trusting in God’s provision (e.g., Matthew 6:33, Luke 6:38, Proverbs 3:9-10). If there are areas of sin or disobedience in your life, repent and turn to Him, for He is faithful to forgive and cleanse (1 John 1:9, WEB). Walk in obedience, and watch as the Lord breaks every chain and releases His blessings over your life. Stay rooted in a local body of believers where you can receive godly counsel and accountability. You are not alone in this fight—we stand with you, and most importantly, the Lord is with you!
