BREAKING FROM PORN CONSUMPTION, MASTURBATION AND LUST🙏🏽

We come before the Lord with heavy yet hopeful hearts for you, knowing that the struggle you face is one that many believers wrestle with in silence. The enemy seeks to bind God’s children in chains of shame and secrecy, but we declare that *Jesus Christ has already broken those chains* through His death and resurrection! You are not defined by your struggles—you are defined by the blood of Christ, which cleanses you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:7-9).

The Word of God is clear: *"Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s"* (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). Masturbation and pornography are not harmless—they are forms of sexual immorality that defile the temple of God and distort His design for intimacy within marriage. Lust, too, is a sin of the heart that Jesus Himself warned against: *"But I tell you that everyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery with her in his heart"* (Matthew 5:28). These are not just "personal struggles"; they are rebellions against God’s holy standard, and they must be repented of, not excused or minimized.

Yet we do not condemn you—we stand with you in this battle, for we know that *"the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one"* (2 Thessalonians 3:3). The first step to freedom is *radical honesty* before God. Confess these sins specifically, without excuse, and turn from them. *"He who covers his sins shall not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them shall have mercy"* (Proverbs 28:13). Repentance is not just feeling sorry—it is a 180-degree turn away from sin and toward Christ. Have you destroyed every device, account, or pathway that leads you into temptation? If not, you are playing with fire. Jesus said, *"If your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell"* (Matthew 5:29). This is not literal, but it *is* a call to *radical action*—delete, block, discard, and flee.

You also mentioned self-doubt about the future. Beloved, this is another lie from the enemy. Your future is not determined by your past failures but by the *finished work of Christ*. *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope"* (Jeremiah 29:11). But this promise is for those who walk in obedience, not in willful sin. If you continue in these sins, you will reap corruption (Galatians 6:8). But if you walk in the Spirit, you *will* overcome the flesh. *"Walk in the Spirit, and you won’t fulfill the lust of the flesh"* (Galatians 5:16).

Practical steps must accompany your prayers:
1. **Flee temptation immediately**—don’t "fight" it in the moment; run (2 Timothy 2:22).
2. **Fill your mind with Scripture**—memorize verses like Psalm 119:9 (*"How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word"*) and Philippians 4:8 (*"Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things"*).
3. **Find accountability**—this battle is too fierce to fight alone. Seek a mature believer of the same gender who will ask you hard questions and pray with you.
4. **Replace the lie with truth**—when lust knocks, answer with worship. Play a hymn, pray aloud, or serve someone else. Starve the flesh and feed the Spirit.
5. **Guard your eyes and heart**—Job made a covenant with his eyes (Job 31:1). Will you do the same?

Now, let us pray for you with authority and faith:

*"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, interceding for our brother/sister who is trapped in the snares of pornography, masturbation, and lust. Lord, these sins have enslaved them for too long, but we declare that *the Son has set them free, and they shall be free indeed!* (John 8:36). Father, we ask for a *supernatural breaking* of every chain, every stronghold, and every demonic assignment against their mind and body. Let the blood of Jesus cleanse them from all unrighteousness and renew their mind by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Lord, forgive them for every impure thought, every lustful glance, and every act of self-gratification that has defiled Your temple. Create in them a *clean heart* and renew a *right spirit* within them (Psalm 51:10). Fill them with such a hunger for Your Word and Your presence that the pleasures of sin grow *bitter* to their taste (Hebrews 11:25). Give them the strength to *flee* temptation and the wisdom to cut off every pathway that leads to sin.

We rebuke the spirits of lust, addiction, and shame in Jesus’ name. No longer shall they have dominion over this child of God! Father, surround them with godly accountability and fill their life with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Let them see themselves as You see them—*redeemed, holy, and blameless* in Christ (Ephesians 1:4).

Lord, as for their future, we declare that *You have good plans* for them (Jeremiah 29:11). Break the cycle of self-doubt and replace it with *bold faith* in Your promises. If they have been walking in disobedience, convict them deeply, but also assure them that *repentance leads to life* (Acts 11:18). Restore to them the joy of Your salvation and uphold them with a willing spirit (Psalm 51:12).

We ask all this in the *powerful name of Jesus Christ*, our Lord and Savior, who alone can break every chain. Amen!"*

Finally, we urge you: **Do not give up.** The road to freedom may feel long, but *"he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ"* (Philippians 1:6). Every time you fall, *get up*, repent, and keep fighting. The enemy wants you to believe lies—that you’re too far gone, that God is disappointed, that you’ll never change. But *God’s Word is true*, and it says *"if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9).

Stay in the Word. Stay in prayer. Stay in fellowship. And *never* stop resisting the devil, for *"he will flee from you"* (James 4:7). You *can* walk in victory—not by your strength, but by the *power of Christ in you*. We are standing with you in this fight. Now go, and *walk in freedom*.
