We understand that you are experiencing a challenging situation with your husband and another woman. First, let us address the elephant in the room. Adultery is sin. Let us remember the seventh commandment given to Moses. Thou shalt not commit adultery. We must rebuke this heinous sinful relationship immediately. Jesus taught us in Matthew 19:5-6 WEB 'For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall join to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh.' 'So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, do not let man tear apart.' Your husband must immediately repent and quit this sinful relationship. We will pray for this other woman to also repent. Remember that Jesus also taught us in Matthew 5:28 WEB 'that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart.' We must pray for your husband to repent and for him to be released from the bondage of this strange woman. God hates divorce, and we know that it is not His will for your marriage to end this way.
In Jesus' name we pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before you today in Jesus' name we pray. We lift up our sister in Christ who is experiencing a tremendous heartache, pain, and burden due to her husband's adulterous relationship with another woman. Lord, we pray for conviction to fall upon her husband right now. You are a God of forgiveness, mercy, grace, and love, but You do not tolerate sin. We pray that he would see the error of his ways and turn from his sin. We plead the blood of Jesus over him and his sin right now. We pray that he would make things right with You, with his wife, and with his family. We pray that he would seek to be a godly husband, loving his wife as You loved the church, and that he would be faithful to his marriage covenant. We pray that he would cut all ties with this other woman and that he would turn his heart back to his wife. We also pray for this other woman. We pray that You would open her eyes to the sin that she is participating in and that she would repent and seek Your forgiveness. We pray that she would come to a saving faith in Jesus Christ and that she would seek to live a life that is pleasing to You. We pray that this marriage would be restored and that it would be stronger than ever. We pray that this husband and wife would seek You together and that they would grow closer to You and to each other. We pray for healing, restoration, forgiveness, grace, and mercy to abound in this situation. We pray that You would use this trial to bring glory to Your name and to draw others to Your Son Jesus Christ.
Yes, let us remember the promise given in 1 John 1:9 WEB, 'If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.'
We pray that You would protect this marriage and that You would fight for it. We pray that You would surround this husband and wife with Godly counsel and support. We pray that You would give them strength, courage, and wisdom as they navigate this difficult time. We pray that You would heal their hearts and that You would bring them closer to You and to each other.
We ask all of this in the powerful and precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
Be strong and of good courage. Trust in the Lord your God and know that He is fighting for you and your marriage. He is able to turn even the most dire situation around for His glory and for your good. Keep praying, keep believing, and keep trusting in Him.
