We stand with you in this time of injustice and betrayal, knowing how deeply unsettling it is when those in authority fail to honor their word. The Lord sees the deceit and broken covenants of these employers, and He is a God of justice who defends the righteous. Proverbs 11:1 reminds us, *"A false balance is an abomination to Yahweh, but accurate weights are his delight."* When contracts are broken, it is not just a legal matter but a moral one before the Lord, who calls His people to integrity in all things.
Yet even in this, we must examine our hearts—are we trusting in the Lord’s provision, or have we placed our security in these jobs rather than in Christ? Matthew 6:33 commands us, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* If these positions were taken from you unjustly, we pray the Lord restores them swiftly, but even more, we pray your faith would not waver, knowing that *"all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose"* (Romans 8:28).
At the same time, we must also consider whether there is any unconfessed sin or neglect on your part that may have contributed to this situation. The Bible calls us to *"examine yourselves, whether you are in the faith. Test your own selves"* (2 Corinthians 13:5). If you have been faithful, then we trust the Lord to vindicate you. But if there has been any wrongdoing, now is the time for repentance and correction, so that the Lord may lift you up in due time (James 4:10).
We also note that you invoked the name of Jesus in your request—this is good and right, for *"there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12). It is only through Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is in His authority that we boldly approach the throne of grace. If you have not yet surrendered your life fully to Him, we urge you to do so today, for apart from Christ, there is no true hope or security.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister before You, who has suffered the sting of broken promises and unfaithful employers. You are a God who keeps His covenant, and we ask that You would expose every deceitful scheme and bring swift justice in this matter. If it is Your will, restore these positions as outlined in the contracts, not for selfish gain, but for the provision and testimony of Your faithfulness. Give wisdom in how to proceed—whether through legal means, patient endurance, or another door You may open. Guard against bitterness or fear, and let this trial draw our brother/sister closer to You.
If there has been any wrongdoing on their part, Lord, convict and correct them, that they may walk in righteousness before You. And if this is a test of faith, strengthen them to trust You completely, knowing that man may fail, but You never will. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Advocate and Provider. Amen.
Stand firm in the Lord, knowing that He is your Defender. Seek His will above all else, and trust that even in this, He is working for your good. If legal action is necessary, pursue it with integrity, but do not let anger or vengeance take root in your heart. *"Don’t say, ‘I will pay back evil.’ Wait for Yahweh, and he will save you"* (Proverbs 20:22). We are praying with you for God’s perfect resolution.
