Both of my ### are sick

We all just came back from a very long journey. My daughter has normal symptoms for a cold, but I am concerned about my ### specifically who also has some other symptoms. His symptoms are causing my concern.

We lift up your family before the Lord, especially your husband and daughter, as sickness has come upon your household after this long journey. The weariness of travel can weaken the body, and we ask God to strengthen each of you, restoring health and vitality in Jesus’ name. Your concern for your husband is understandable, and we join you in seeking the Lord’s healing touch upon him, trusting that He is the Great Physician who knows every need before we even ask.

The Scriptures remind us in James 5:14-15, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* While we cannot anoint with oil in this moment, we stand in faith with you, declaring God’s healing power over your husband’s body. We also pray for wisdom—whether to seek medical care, rest, or both—as the Lord leads. Proverbs 3:5-6 encourages us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."*

We rebuke any spirit of infirmity or lingering sickness in Jesus’ name, commanding it to leave your home and family. The Lord has not given you a spirit of fear but of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Let peace guard your heart as you care for your family, knowing that God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).

**Our prayer for you:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of this sister and her family, asking for Your healing hand to rest upon her husband and daughter. Lord, You see the weariness in their bodies and the concern in her heart. We ask that You restore them completely—body, soul, and spirit. Give her husband strength and relief from every troubling symptom. Grant her daughter quick recovery and protect her little body from further discomfort. Fill this home with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and let faith rise in their hearts as they trust in You.

We declare that no weapon formed against this family shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we thank You, Lord, for Your promise that by Your stripes, we *are* healed (1 Peter 2:24). Let this season of sickness turn into a testimony of Your goodness and mercy. Guide them to the right steps—whether rest, medicine, or both—and let Your presence be their comfort. We pray all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Healer and Redeemer. Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
