Beloved of All
⛪️ Body of Christ, Eph 5:30, Living Stones, 1 Peter 2:5-6, Family Intervene Mt 18:16-17, Holy Spirit-Fill Believers to Shepherd, 1 Pet 5:2, Holy Spirit Conviction, Jn 16:8, Hedge Up Way with Thorns So Cannot Pursue Idolatry, Hos 2:6, Clarity, Avoids Evil Men, Imposters, Supposedly "Religious," 2 Tim 3:5, Tit 1:16, Inner Healing, Isa 1:6, Ps 23:1-6, Stops Sinning, Knowledge of God, 1 Cor 8:1, Prov 9:10, Prov 8:13... 🙏 Father, thank You for grace to pray for her signaling to me You are not finished working on her, Phil 1:6. Thank You in advance for hedging her way with thorns so she can't overtake her lovers, Hosea 2:6-7, let her come to her senses as the prodigal who in Luke 15:17-19 admitting sinning against GOD and man, being humble and willing to take on a place of a servant, demonstrating repentance unto life, 2 Cor 7:9-11, knowing I'd be like the Prodigal's Father, and have compassion, Luke 15:20, to demonstrate Your perfect patience, 1 Tim 1:15-16, if she is truly repentant and is truly born again, being forbidden to be unequally yoked, 2 Cor 6:14, as the law says, Deut 22:10, and even need a similar vision, Amos 3:3, as she had promised to support your calling as an evangelist, missionary, but ran from all advice, did the opposite and ran from all counsellors with any type of backbone, nevertheless if You make her holy, I will not call her unclean, Acts 10:15, is important and inspired, as all of Scripture, 2 Tim 3:16, being Peter's testimony to first call Gentiles, Acts 15:7...

Nevertheless, such patience we regard as kindness intended to lead us to repentance from sin, Rom 2:4, since You are not willing that any should perish, but rather all would come to repentance, 2 Peter 3:9, since there will be wrath and tribulation for every soul that does evil, Rom 2:9. I ask YOU warn her, her family, church, church friends, relatives, even strangers and donkeys if need be, 2 Peter 2:16, and kindly get her pastors and other pastors and friends involved -- and we ask one pastor is family would fear God over his family and honor You above them, Matt 10:28, even put fear of God and the trembling at Your words into them, Isaiah 66:2-3, for the fear of man is a snare, Prov 29:25, as You prophesied to Eli in 1 Samuel 2:29-30, 1 Sam 3:13-14, and fulfilled it in 1 Sam 4:17-18...

We've been asking YOU raise up messengers with the sword of the Spirit and still we ask, Lk 18:1, and thank You for five indicating they are willing to bring The Word of God to this situation, Heb 4:12, but as of yet have not to our knowledge, however we know You are working, thank You for what You're doing, and certain it's to bring about a hope and a future, Jer 29:11... Through history You have gone out of Your way to warn people to turn, as all the prophets testify, we ask He does now, in this day, for this cause: "perchance she will repent, and escape the snare of the devil, being held captive to do his will," 2 Tim 2:25-26, and "so others be fearful of sinning," 1 Tim 5:20. Let them finish the work which they said they'd do with love, reverence for You and Covenant, and zeal, 2 Cor 8:11, not with negligence, Jer 48:10, in Jesus' Name. May it be done gently but firmly, because of the danger of sin and so she won't stop attending church, but rather "flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart," 2 Tim 2:22. Also let it be done with gentleness, keeping an eye on ourselves, lest we be tempted, Gal 6:1. Thank You in advance, Mk 11:24, in Jesus' Name.

I ask again for her to be "hedged in with thorns," Ho 2:6-7, that she is not able to meet anyone at all (No more online or in person dating, Matt 5:28, and grace for her to finally confess adultery, Ex 20:14, [as yet it has only been hinted at without confession], and may God grant ever-increasing clarity, more certain wisdom, James 1:5, that we may be filled with the knowledge of His will with all spiritual wisdom and understanding so we may walk worthy of The Lord, Col 1:9-10, so we may stand perfectly assured in all the will of God, Col 4:12. May our Love abound more and more with all knowledge and discernment so we may choose the most excellent paths, not stumble, be offended or cause offense to others, be blameless without reproach unto the Day of Christ, being filled with the fruits of righteousness, to the glory and praise of God, Phil 1:9-11, and who knows what's next? 2 Sam 12:22), especially that she, I, the youngster and we all are delivered from temptation, Lk 11:4, sin, 1 Cor 15:34, lies, Zeph 3:13, evil, evil men, imposters, 2 Tim 2:5, 2 Tim 2:13 & the evil one himself, Matt 6:13, John 17:15...

We join you in this heavy and earnest burden and we thank you for bringing this before the Lord with such persistence and with so much Scripture, for we know that we are members of his body, of his flesh and bones Eph 5:30 and as living stones we are built up as a spiritual house 1 Pet 2:5 and we are called to care for one another and to intervene in love when a soul is wandering.

We hear your heart crying out for this woman to be hedged in with thorns as in Hosea 2:6 where God says I will hedge up your way with thorns and I will build a wall against her so that she cannot find her paths, that she would not be able to overtake her lovers but would return and come to her senses as the prodigal did when he came to himself and said I will arise and go to my Father and will tell him I have sinned against heaven and before you Luke 15:18. We agree with you that what is needed is not a superficial sorrow but godly sorrow which works repentance to salvation 2 Cor 7:10 and that she would bring forth fruits worthy of repentance.

We must speak plainly about what you have hinted at, for you mention adultery and pursuing lovers and online and in person dating. The Word is clear, You shall not commit adultery Ex 20:14 and that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart Matt 5:28. Whether it is physical adultery or adultery of the heart through lust and entertaining other lovers, it is sin against God and against covenant, and it must be confessed and forsaken, not merely hinted at. He who covers his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy Prov 28:13. We also affirm what you have said about being unequally yoked, for what fellowship has righteousness with iniquity, what communion has light with darkness 2 Cor 6:14 and can two walk together unless they have agreed Amos 3:3. A courtship or any pursuit of a spouse must be with a fellow believer with a shared vision to walk worthy of the Lord, and any relationship outside of a lifelong marriage covenant between a man and a woman is not to be pursued. If she has promised to support a calling to evangelism and missions and then has run from counsel, that is a serious turning aside and needs the shepherding and correction of the Body.

We are encouraged that you desire the biblical order of intervention, that the family and the church would obey Matthew 18:15 where Jesus said If your brother sins against you, go, show him his fault between you and him alone, and if he listens to you, you have gained your brother, and if not to take one or two more, and if he refuses to listen, tell it to the assembly Matt 18:16-17. This is the loving shepherding that elders are commanded to do, shepherd the flock of God which is among you 1 Pet 5:2 not by constraint but willingly, and we pray that the pastors and family involved will fear God rather than man, for the fear of man proves to be a snare Prov 29:25 but blessed is the man who trembles at His word Isa 66:2. As you noted, Eli honored his sons above the Lord and was judged for it 1 Sam 2:29 and 1 Sam 3:13, so we pray that no pastor or parent would hold back the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God Eph 6:17 for the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword Heb 4:12.

We thank God with you that He who began a good work in you and in her will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ Phil 1:6, for His kindness is intended to lead us to repentance Rom 2:4 and He is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance 2 Pet 3:9 though we know there will be tribulation and anguish for every soul who does evil Rom 2:9. We ask for the Holy Spirit to bring deep conviction as Jesus promised, He will convict the world about sin, about righteousness, and about judgment John 16:8 and that she would be delivered from evil men and impostors who have a form of godliness but deny its power, from such turn away 2 Tim 3:5 who profess that they know God but by their deeds they deny him Titus 1:16.

We pray together now for her and for you and for all involved.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved Acts 4:12 and through Him alone we have access to Your throne. We thank You that You are still working and that You have not finished. We ask that You would hedge her way with thorns Hosea 2:6 so that every path toward idolatry, toward lust, toward online and in person pursuit of other lovers, would be blocked and made fruitless, that she would find no satisfaction in sin and would be compelled to return. Grant her the grace to confess her sin fully and to forsake it, to awake to righteousness and do not sin 1 Cor 15:34. Heal her inner wounds, for from the sole of the foot even to the head there is no soundness in it but wounds and bruises Isa 1:6, and restore her soul as the Shepherd who makes us to lie down in green pastures and restores our soul Ps 23:1-3. Give her the fear of the Lord which is the beginning of wisdom Prov 9:10 and to depart from evil which is understanding Prov 8:13.

Lord, we lift up her family, her pastors, her church friends and relatives, and we ask that You would raise up messengers who will not be negligent in doing Your work Jer 48:10 but who will speak the truth in love with the sword of the Spirit, gently yet firmly. Grant them courage to obey Gal 6:1 to restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, looking to themselves lest they also be tempted, and grant her a heart to receive correction so that she will not forsake the assembly but will flee youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart 2 Tim 2:22. We pray that what is done would lead to repentance that she may escape the snare of the devil having been taken captive to do his will 2 Tim 2:26 and that others also may fear 1 Tim 5:20.

For our brother who prays, we ask for ever increasing clarity and wisdom, for if any lacks wisdom let him ask of God who gives to all liberally James 1:5 that you may be filled with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding to walk worthily of the Lord Col 1:9-10 and to stand perfect and complete in all the will of God Col 4:12. May your love abound yet more and more in knowledge and all discernment so that you may approve the things that are excellent Phil 1:9-10 and be without stumble to the day of Christ. Keep you all from temptation Luke 11:4 and deliver you from the evil one Matt 6:13, for You are able to keep us from evil John 17:15. We pray You would remove lies and give a remnant that will do no iniquity nor speak lies Zeph 3:13.

We thank You in advance according to Mark 11:24 that whatever we ask in prayer believing we have received it, and we trust Your perfect patience 1 Tim 1:16 and Your promise to give a future and a hope Jer 29:11. We do not call unclean what You have cleansed Acts 10:15, but we know You make holy those who are truly born again and repentant, and we ask for that true new birth if it has not yet occurred. Let all be done for Your glory and for the building up of the Body. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

Thank you for letting us pray with you in this long and painful season. We hear your love for your wife, your longing for truth and healing, and your desire that any intervention be gentle and honoring to God so she stays connected to Him and to His people.

Waiting while others are willing to help but have not yet stepped in is especially hard. One thing that has helped others in a similar place is to ask one trusted pastor to help coordinate. When several caring people each speak separately it can feel overwhelming. When one shepherd helps bring them together with a clear, kind plan, the conversation is more likely to stay calm, respectful and focused on restoration. It also protects you from carrying the whole weight alone.

As you continue to pray, we encourage you to keep steady support around you and your young one as well. Meet regularly with that pastor or a mature counselor just for your own strength and wisdom, keep healthy rhythms at home, and let that small circle know how you are really doing.

Father, we lift this husband, his wife and their child to You. Give wisdom and unity to the pastors and friends who care, guard this family from further harm, and draw each heart toward Your truth and grace. Give our brother peace as he waits on You, and lead each next step. In Jesus name, amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

Your long and burdened prayer has been laid before the Lord and before His people, and we join you in asking that God would be glorified in all that is done. There is a great weight upon your heart for one who has wandered, and it is right to pray, as you do, that the Lord would not leave her to the deceitfulness of sin, but would in mercy call her to that repentance which is unto life.

We must remember first that judgments alone do not make men repent. The Scripture says, They repented not to give Him glory, Revelation 16:9. There is a carnal repentance which is of the flesh, wrought by fear or by the hedge of thorns, and there is a true repentance which is the work of the Spirit of God and which gives God glory. The one may make a soul confess with the lips for a season, the other makes the heart abhor sin because it is committed against so holy, so good, so glorious a Being as the infinitely blessed God. You have prayed that her way might be hedged with thorns, Hosea 2:6, that she may not overtake her lovers, and this God may do in providence, as He did with the prodigal who came to himself in the far country, Luke 15:17. Yet we must pray beyond the hedge, that the Holy Spirit would bring conviction, John 16:8, and grant repentance as His own gift, for we preach repentance in the name of Jesus, not as the demand of Moses, but as the gift of God through Christ, Luke 24:47, Acts 11:18.

True repentance, as you have well cited, is known by this, that it gives God glory. Here are scales wherewith you may weigh repentance. Does it lead the soul to look out of self to Christ and to Christ only, to weep and abhor past life because of the love of Christ which has pardoned it, and to avoid present sin because of the love of God who died for us. Faith and repentance are inseparable. The repentance that ejects sin as an evil tenant, and the faith which admits Christ to be the sole master of the heart, must go together. That repentance which yields works meet for repentance, which is practical and which lasts, is the repentance that needs not to be repented of, 2 Corinthians 7:9-11.

You have prayed as the father of the prodigal would pray, and we are reminded that the eyes of mercy are quicker than the eyes of repentance. The father saw him when he was yet a great way off, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him in much love, Luke 15:20. Those many kisses meant much love, much forgiveness, full restoration, and exceeding joy. Before the prodigal could finish his confession, his sonship was acknowledged. If God in sovereign grace brings this dear one to true repentance, there will be not only confession of adultery, Exodus 20:14, and of all sin done in the sight of God, Psalm 51, but a humble willingness to take the lowest place, as that prodigal was willing to be as a hired servant. Yet we must leave the outcome in the hands of Him who alone knows the heart. Manasseh did evil in the sight of the Lord for fifty five years, and yet almighty grace made him a remarkable convert when the iron entered into his soul in his prison, 2 Chronicles 33:12. If such a wretch was brought to repentance, no one need despair, but neither may we presume.

You ask for the Body of Christ, Ephesians 5:30, for living stones, 1 Peter 2:5, for family and shepherds to intervene according to Matthew 18:15-17, and for pastors to fear God rather than man, Matthew 10:28, Proverbs 29:25, Isaiah 66:2. This is according to the Word. Let it be done gently but firmly, with the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God, Hebrews 4:12, and with an eye upon ourselves lest we also be tempted, Galatians 6:1. The Lord would have His people flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart, 2 Timothy 2:22. Let those who have said they will go, do the work with love, reverence for covenant, and zeal, not with negligence, Jeremiah 48:10, that perchance God will grant repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth, that she may escape the snare of the devil, 2 Timothy 2:25-26, and that others also may fear, 1 Timothy 5:20.

Concerning marriage and purity, we hold fast what Scripture teaches, that marriage is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, a great mystery concerning Christ and His Church, Ephesians 5:25. The husband's love to his spouse is something special and particular, and stands quite alone, even as Christ loved the Church and gave Himself for her. Unity is the essence of the marriage bond, we being one with Christ who made Himself one with His people. Therefore all intimacy outside that covenant, all living together or seeking lovers, whether in person or online, Matthew 5:28, is sin against God and must be confessed and forsaken. We cannot ask God to bless what He calls sin, nor to be unequally yoked, 2 Corinthians 6:14, Amos 3:3. We do pray, as you do, that if God makes holy, we will not call unclean, Acts 10:15, but holiness is His work, and we must not call holy what He has not cleansed. We pray for clarity, for wisdom, James 1:5, that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, to walk worthy of the Lord, Colossians 1:9-10, Colossians 4:12, and that love may abound more and more with knowledge and discernment, Philippians 1:9-11, so that you may choose the most excellent paths and be blameless until the day of Christ.

We pray also with you for deliverance from temptation, Luke 11:4, from lies, Zephaniah 3:13, from evil men and imposters who have a form of godliness but deny the power thereof, 2 Timothy 3:5, Titus 1:16, and from the evil one himself, Matthew 6:13, John 17:15. We ask for inner healing, for the wounds of sin are as bruises and putrefying sores, Isaiah 1:6, and only the Shepherd who makes us to lie down in green pastures can restore the soul, Psalm 23.

Do not put your repenting into the place of Christ. Repentance lives as long as faith, it is not a bitter operation once endured and then forgotten, but sweet company all the way to the gates of pearl. Look to Christ alone to save you, and ask Him to give you the repentance He requires. Continue instant in prayer, Luke 18:1, believing that He who began a good work will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ, Philippians 1:6, for He is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance, 2 Peter 3:9, and His kindness is meant to lead us to repentance, Romans 2:4.

We will pray that the Lord would raise up faithful messengers, that He would give you and her and all concerned a perfect restoration if it be His will, Zechariah 10:6, that where sin has abounded grace may much more abound, and that whatever the future holds, you may stand perfectly assured in all the will of God, to His glory alone.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer has been received and we have heard the burden and love with which you bring this woman before the Lord. You are asking for what God Himself desires, that sin would be exposed and forsaken, that a soul would come to her senses and return to Him, and that the church would act in truth and love. We will join you in praying in this way.

Scripture teaches that marriage is a bond ordained by God, and what breaks that bond is a severing and dissolving of what God has joined. The Lord made clear that adultery is not only when a woman who is married gives herself to another, but also when a man or woman who is bound by marriage gives themselves to another, even to one who is free. In both cases the sin is the same, for the offense is first against God Himself. It is not a matter of necessity or of being overcome by passion that cannot be resisted. Natural desire was given for marriage and for the procreation of children within it, not for adultery and corruption. To love another outside the covenant is a matter of deliberate choice and free will, and therefore it is accountable before God.

For this reason we cannot ask God to bless or affirm any dating or sexual relationship outside the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman, nor any ongoing adultery. To do so would be to ask God to contradict His own law. What we do ask, as you have asked, is that God would hedge her way with thorns as He promised in Hosea, so that she cannot overtake her lovers, that every path that leads away from Him would be blocked, that online and in person pursuits would come to nothing, and that she would be brought to clarity and conviction by the Holy Spirit who convicts the world of sin.

True repentance is more than tears or hints or vague admissions. As you noted from Esau, he sought the blessing with tears yet found no place of repentance, because his sorrow was not the godly sorrow that works repentance unto salvation without regret. Godly sorrow condemns the sin itself, mourns before God and before those sinned against, humbles itself even to the place of a servant as the prodigal did when he said I have sinned against heaven and before you, and it bears fruit in turning away from sin. The Church is a spiritual bath which wipes away not filth of the body but stains of the soul, through many methods of repentance, and when a sinner is truly restored after being excluded for a time, that restoration is real. But renewal is not by tears alone, it is by a true turning. We pray that God would grant her that godly sorrow described in 2 Corinthians 7, a repentance unto life, and that if she is truly born again she would be made holy, for only then can there be a yoking together that walks in agreement as Amos says, with a shared vision for the calling of God.

We also hear your plea for others to be raised up. The Lord has ordained that when a brother or sister sins, the family and the church should go and intervene, first alone, then with others, as Matthew 18 teaches, and that shepherds should feed the flock not under compulsion but willingly. It is right to ask that her family, her pastors, friends, and even strangers if needed would speak the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God, and that they would fear God rather than man. The fear of man is a snare, but the fear of the Lord and trembling at His word gives courage to speak. We pray with you that those five who have indicated willingness would not be negligent in doing the work, but would complete it with love, reverence for God and for His covenant, and zeal, gently and firmly, keeping watch over themselves lest they also be tempted, as Galatians 6 instructs. The aim is not to drive her from the church, but to rescue her from the snare of the devil where she is held captive to do his will, so that she may flee youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart, and so that others also may fear sinning.

We join you in thanking God in advance that He is not finished with her, confident as Philippians 1 says that He who began a good work will perfect it, and that His kindness is meant to lead to repentance, for He is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance, though there will be wrath and tribulation for every soul that persists in evil. We ask for what you asked, that you and she and the child and all concerned would be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, to walk worthy of the Lord, that love would abound with knowledge and discernment to choose the excellent way and be blameless, and that you all would be delivered from temptation, from lies, from evil men and impostors, and from the evil one himself.

Continue steadfastly in prayer as Luke 18 encourages, not losing heart. Guard your own heart, seek counsel that has backbone and speaks the truth, avoid those who have a form of godliness but deny its power, and remain in the fellowship of those who truly know God. If God grants repentance, there is forgiveness and cleansing through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other salvation. If He does, then what was unclean can be made clean by His grace, and patience will have done its perfect work. We are praying that God will warn, convict, block every false way, heal what is wounded, grant increasing clarity and wisdom, and bring about a hope and a future according to His will, in Jesus Name.
