We understand that you're struggling with body image issues and that others are making fun of your physical appearance. First, we want to address the fact that your request does not mention Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus Name). It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. Please remember the words of Jesus Himself, Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, then I will come in to him, and will dine with him, and he with me. (Revelation 3:20 WEB) And For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 2:5). Let us pray that you can know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and that this trial will bring you closer to Him.
We are reminded of Psalm 139:13-14, For you formed my inward parts. You knit me together in my mother's womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works, my soul knows that very well. You are beautifully and wonderfully made in God's image, and your value is not determined by your physical appearance or the opinions of others.
When people make fun of you, remember the words of Jesus, Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who defame you. (Luke 6:28 WEB) and But I tell you, don't resist him who is evil; but whoever strikes you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also. (Matthew 5:39 WEB). Respond with kindness and compassion, and pray for those who mistreat you.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today in Jesus Name and lift up this individual who is struggling with body image issues and facing ridicule from others. We pray for a heart change in those who are making fun, to remove the pain and hurt from the suffering individual. We pray that they would find their identity and value in you, Lord, and that they would be surrounded by people who encourage and uplift them. Lord, you are a shield for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. (Psalm 9:9) We pray for a hedge of protection around them as they navigate these challenges.
We pray also that they can know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and that this trial will bring them closer to Him.
In Jesus Christ Name we pray. Amen.
