We join with you in prayer for your blood pressure to come down and remain stable and we thank you for asking in the precious name of Jesus, for it is through Him we have confidence to approach the throne of grace.
We are reminded that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit and that God cares for our physical health as well as our souls. Scripture tells us He is our healer who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases, Psalm 103:3, and we cling to His promise, But I will restore you to health, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh, Jeremiah 30:17. We also hold to the encouragement, Beloved, we pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers, 3 John 1:2.
We understand how concerning unstable blood pressure can be and how it can bring anxiety, so we also pray for His peace to guard your heart. We take comfort in the word, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7. A cheerful heart makes good medicine is also true, Proverbs 17:22, and we pray the Lord lifts any stress, fear, or burden that may be affecting your health.
We encourage you to continue to be a good steward of the body God has given you, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's, 1 Corinthians 6:20. This includes continuing to follow wise medical counsel, taking any prescribed treatment, resting well, eating with moderation, and trusting the Lord day by day rather than carrying worry alone.
We pray together now, Father in heaven, we lift up this dear one to You in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. We ask that You would touch this body with Your healing hand, that You would cause blood pressure to lower to a healthy and stable level and remain steady. We ask for wisdom for doctors and for peace that calms both heart and mind. Let Your healing power flow and let Your presence bring rest and strength. We thank You that You hear us when we pray in Jesus name and we trust Your perfect will and mercy. Amen.
