We join with you in lifting up this heartfelt request for the blessing of a child, recognizing that children are a heritage from the Lord and the fruit of the womb is his reward, as it is written in Psalm 127:3. Your desire for a healthy baby is a beautiful and godly longing, and we are grateful you have brought this before the Father in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence.
We do notice, however, that your prayer does not explicitly acknowledge the sovereignty of God in this matter. While it is right to ask boldly in faith, we must also submit our requests with an open heart, trusting in His perfect will and timing. The apostle James reminds us, *"You don’t have because you don’t ask. You ask and don’t receive because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it for your pleasures"* (James 4:2-3, WEB). Let us also remember the words of Jesus, *"Your Father knows what things you need before you ask him"* (Matthew 6:8, WEB). We must seek first His kingdom and righteousness, trusting that He will add all these things to us as He sees fit (Matthew 6:33).
If you and your spouse are walking in obedience to God’s Word, seeking Him with all your hearts, then we encourage you to continue in faith. If there are areas of disobedience—such as unforgiveness, idolatry, or sinful habits—we urge you to repent and turn fully to the Lord, for *"the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayers; but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil"* (1 Peter 3:12, WEB). Let your lives be a living testimony of faith, love, and holiness, for God delights in blessing those who walk uprightly before Him.
If you are not yet married, we strongly encourage you to pursue this desire within the covenant of marriage, as God intended. Children are to be born into families where a father and mother are committed to one another before God, raising them in the nurture and admonition of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4). Marriage is a sacred institution designed by God, and it is within this covenant that the blessing of children is most fully realized.
We also want to remind you that God’s ways are higher than ours, and His timing is perfect. If this blessing tarries, do not lose heart. Trust in Him, for *"no good thing will he withhold from those who walk blamelessly"* (Psalm 84:11, WEB). Even in waiting, He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
