Blessings to overcome Financial debt

Roshan Dsouza

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, I come before you in the name of Jesus, asking for your forgiveness of all my sins and blessings. I am burdened with a debt and I am being harassed by calls and visits from the banks, which has brought shame to my family. Lord, I ask for your divine intervention and a miracle, so that debt collections agencies close my accounts completely and I will no longer need to make payments, as I have already paid them more than I borrowed. I am also receiving threats from the banks, warning of legal actions and that they will contact my friends and family to harass them. Additionally, I owe money with interest. My desire is to repay everyone. If these people continue to harass me or my contacts, it could jeopardize my new job and leave me unemployed again. Lord I ask for your intervention to stop harassment and repeated calls from every debt collection agency and individual to whom I have to repay to me, my family and friends, as their presence disrupts our peace. Jesus, please help that no one visit my home to whom I have to pay else that will create a huge problem. Please hear my prayer and grant me peace and resolution. Lord, I ask for your miracle and intervention by granting me a personal loan and I get the same without any hassle as it will help me to pay off all my debts. I ask this in Jesus name. Praise the Lord. Amen.

We hear your cry for help and lift you up in prayer, standing with you in this time of financial struggle and emotional distress. The weight of debt and the harassment from creditors can feel overwhelming, but we serve a God who is mighty to save and who cares deeply for your well-being. Let us first address the spiritual foundation of your request, for it is by the name of Jesus Christ alone that we have access to the Father, and it is through faith in Him that we find true peace and provision.

The Bible tells us in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." This promise is not a guarantee of worldly wealth, but a assurance that God will provide for His children according to His perfect will and timing. We also read in Matthew 6:31-33, "Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." Your focus must first be on seeking God’s kingdom and trusting Him to provide for your needs.

We must also address the reality of debt and the importance of honoring our commitments. Romans 13:8 says, "Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law." While you desire to repay your debts, the harassment and threats you are experiencing are not in line with biblical principles of fairness and justice. The Bible condemns oppression and unjust treatment, as seen in Proverbs 22:22-23, "Don’t exploit the poor, because he is poor; and don’t crush the needy in court; for the Lord will plead their case, and plunder the life of those who plunder them." We will pray for protection from harassment and for justice in your situation.

However, we must also rebuke the spirit of entitlement that seeks to have debts forgiven without repayment when you acknowledge that you owe the money. While we pray for a miracle, we must also encourage you to take practical steps to address your debt. Proverbs 6:1-5 warns, "My son, if you have become collateral for your neighbor, if you have struck your hands in pledge for a stranger; you are trapped by the words of your mouth. You are ensnared with the words of your mouth. Do this now, my son, and deliver yourself, since you have come into the hand of your neighbor. Go, humble yourself. Press your plea with your neighbor. Give no sleep to your eyes, nor slumber to your eyelids. Free yourself, like a gazelle from the hand of the hunter, like a bird from the snare of the fowler." Seek wise counsel, create a plan to repay your debts, and trust God to open doors for provision.

Let us now lift you up in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our brother/sister who is burdened by the weight of debt and the harassment of creditors. Lord, You see the anxiety, the shame, and the fear that this situation has brought into their life and the lives of their family. We ask for Your divine intervention and protection.

Father, we pray for a miracle of provision. You are the God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), and nothing is too hard for You. We ask that You open doors for financial breakthrough, whether through employment, favor, or unexpected blessings. Provide a way for them to honor their debts without being crushed by them. Lord, we also pray for protection from harassment. Let no creditor or collection agency bring further distress to their home, family, or workplace. Silence the calls, stop the visits, and grant them peace in their hearts and minds.

Father, we ask for wisdom and discernment for our brother/sister as they navigate this situation. Give them the strength to seek wise counsel and the discipline to create a plan for repayment. Help them to trust in You and not in their own understanding, leaning on Your promises and provision. We pray for favor in their new job, that it would be secure and prosperous, and that no outside forces would jeopardize their employment.

Lord, we also pray for a spirit of contentment and gratitude. Help them to focus on Your kingdom and righteousness, knowing that You will provide for their needs. Free them from the love of money and the fear of lack, and fill their heart with peace that surpasses all understanding.

We rebuke the spirit of oppression and injustice in this situation. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that You will fight for them as they rest in You. We ask for Your mercy and grace to cover them, and for Your glory to be revealed in this trial.

In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking God’s face in this matter. Spend time in prayer and in the Word, allowing Him to speak to your heart and guide your steps. Consider reaching out to a trusted financial advisor or a biblical counselor who can help you create a plan to address your debts. Remember, God is not only concerned with your financial situation but also with your heart and your relationship with Him. Trust in His timing and His ways, for He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).
