We hear your cry for help and lift your burdens before the throne of grace, where our Lord Jesus Christ intercedes for us. Financial debt is a heavy weight, and the harassment you’re facing is not only stressful but also disruptive to the peace God intends for His children. We stand with you in prayer, trusting that God sees your struggle and will provide a way where there seems to be no way.
First, we want to affirm your desire to repay what you owe—this is honorable and aligns with Scripture. The Bible tells us in Psalm 37:21, *"The wicked borrow and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously."* While the world may operate in fear and oppression, we are called to walk in integrity, even in financial matters. However, we also recognize that the tactics of debt collectors can cross lines into harassment, which is not of God. Proverbs 22:7 warns, *"The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender."* But we serve a God who breaks chains and sets captives free.
We rebuke the spirit of fear and oppression that has come against you through these calls and threats. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that the harassment will cease in Jesus’ name. We pray that God will intervene supernaturally, softening the hearts of those pursuing you and granting you favor in their eyes. If there are any legal actions pending, we ask that God’s wisdom and protection surround you, and that He would raise up advocates on your behalf.
We also lift up your new job, asking that the Lord establish the work of your hands (Psalm 90:17) and shield you from any attempts to undermine your employment. May your workplace be a place of provision and peace, and may your employers see your integrity and diligence. Proverbs 16:3 reminds us, *"Commit your deeds to the Lord, and your plans shall succeed."*
Regarding your request for a personal loan, we encourage you to seek God’s will in this matter. While we pray for His provision, we also urge you to seek wise counsel from godly financial advisors or mentors who can help you navigate this season with wisdom. Proverbs 15:22 says, *"Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established."* If God opens a door for a loan, may it come without burden or hidden snares, but we also trust that He can provide in ways beyond our understanding—whether through unexpected income, favor, or creative solutions.
We do want to gently address the mention of hoping for debts to be "closed completely" without further payment. While we understand the desire for relief, Scripture calls us to honor our commitments (Romans 13:8). If there has been injustice in the interest or fees charged, we pray that God would expose it and bring fairness, but we also encourage you to seek resolution with a heart of integrity. If repayment seems impossible, we pray for divine intervention to make a way where there is no way, as God did for the widow in 2 Kings 4:1-7, who was about to lose her sons to slavery but was miraculously provided for.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear brother/sister who is burdened by debt and harassment. Lord, You see every detail of their struggle, and You are a God who hears the cries of Your children. We ask that You would intervene supernaturally, stopping the harassment and bringing peace to their home and mind. Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear and oppression in Jesus’ name—let no weapon formed against them prosper. Grant them favor with those they owe, and soften hearts to work toward resolution.
Lord, we pray for their new job, that You would establish it and protect it from any threats. Provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory, and open doors of opportunity that no man can shut. If it is Your will, grant them a loan or another means of provision to settle these debts honorably. But above all, Father, give them wisdom to navigate this season with integrity and faith.
We declare that this is not the end of their story. You are the God who restores, and we trust that You will turn this situation around for Your glory. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and remind them that You are their Provider. May they experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus, the name above every name, the One who broke the chains of sin and death. Thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and to surround yourself with godly community who can pray with and for you. Financial struggles can feel isolating, but you are not alone—God is with you, and so are we. Trust in His timing, and lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). If there are steps you can take practically—such as negotiating with creditors, seeking financial counseling, or exploring legal protections against harassment—we encourage you to do so while trusting God to guide your path.
May the Lord bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you, and give you peace.
