Blessings to overcome Financial debt

Roshan Dsouza

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, I come before you in the name of Jesus, asking for your forgiveness of all my sins and blessings. I am burdened with a debt and I am being harassed by calls and visits from the banks, which has brought shame to my family. Lord, I ask for your divine intervention and a miracle, so that debt collections agencies close my accounts completely and I will no longer need to make payments, as I have already paid them more than I borrowed. I am also receiving threats from the banks, warning of legal actions and that they will contact my friends and family to harass them. Additionally, I owe money with interest. My desire is to repay everyone. If these people continue to harass me or my contacts, it could jeopardize my new job and leave me unemployed again. Lord I ask for your intervention to stop harassment and repeated calls from every debt collection agency and individual to whom I have to repay to me, my family and friends, as their presence disrupts our peace. Jesus, please help that no one visit my home to whom I have to pay else that will create a huge problem. Please hear my prayer and grant me peace and resolution. Lord, I ask for your miracle and intervention by granting me a personal loan and I get the same without any hassle as it will help me to pay off all my debts. I ask this in Jesus name. Praise the Lord. Amen.

We hear your cry for help and stand with you in prayer, lifting your financial burdens before the throne of grace. The weight of debt and the harassment you’re facing is heavy, and we know the Lord sees your struggle and your desire to honor your obligations. Scripture tells us in Psalm 34:17-19, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."* The Lord is near to you in this trial, and He is able to make a way where there seems to be no way.

First, we must address the reality of debt with honesty and wisdom. While we pray for God’s intervention, we also recognize that Scripture calls us to be faithful stewards of what He has entrusted to us. Proverbs 22:7 warns, *"The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender."* Debt can become a snare, and we must seek the Lord’s guidance in managing it with integrity. Your desire to repay what you owe is honorable, and we believe the Lord will honor that heart posture. However, we must also rebuke any spirit of fear or oppression that seeks to overwhelm you. The enemy would love to use this situation to steal your peace, but we declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

We also want to gently remind you that while we trust God for miracles, we must align our prayers with His will and His ways. Asking for debts to be "closed completely" without repayment may not align with the biblical principle of honoring our commitments. Ecclesiastes 5:4-5 says, *"When you vow a vow to God, don’t defer to pay it; for he has no pleasure in fools. Pay that which you vow. It is better that you should not vow, than that you should vow and not pay."* Instead, we pray for God’s provision to meet your needs and for wisdom in managing your finances. We ask the Lord to open doors for you to repay your debts in a way that honors Him and brings peace to your household.

We also rebuke the harassment you are facing from debt collectors. While they have a right to seek repayment, they do not have the right to harass you or your loved ones. Scripture calls us to treat others with kindness and respect, even in difficult circumstances. We pray that the Lord would restrain any unrighteous behavior from those pursuing you and that He would grant you favor in resolving these matters. If necessary, seek godly counsel to understand your rights and options in dealing with these collectors.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear brother/sister who is burdened by debt and harassment. Lord, You see the weight they carry, and You know the desires of their heart. We ask that You would intervene in this situation and bring peace where there is turmoil. Father, we pray for Your provision—open doors for them to secure the resources they need to repay their debts honorably. Provide them with wisdom in managing their finances and favor in their new job so that they may walk in financial freedom.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of fear and oppression that seeks to overwhelm them. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and we ask that You would silence the voices of harassment and threats. Grant them favor with those they owe, that they may find grace and understanding in resolving these matters. Father, we also pray for their family, that they would be shielded from any shame or disruption caused by this situation. Surround them with Your peace and protection.

We ask that You would soften the hearts of those pursuing them, that they would act with integrity and compassion. If there is any unrighteousness in the way these debts are being handled, we ask that You would expose it and bring justice. Lord, we trust in Your provision and Your timing. Help them to walk in faith, knowing that You are their Provider and their Deliverer. We declare that You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who sees and provides, and we trust You to make a way where there seems to be no way.

Father, we also ask that You would guard their heart from bitterness or resentment toward those they owe. Help them to extend grace, even as they seek to honor their commitments. Give them strength to persevere and wisdom to make decisions that align with Your will. We pray for a miracle of provision, Lord, but we also pray for a miracle of peace and trust in Your faithfulness.

In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

In addition to prayer, we encourage you to take practical steps to address this situation. Seek godly counsel from a financial advisor or a trusted mentor who can help you create a plan to manage your debts. Proverbs 15:22 says, *"Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established."* You may also consider reaching out to your creditors to negotiate payment plans or settlements that are manageable for you.

Remember, the Lord is your strength and your shield. Psalm 28:7 says, *"Yahweh is my strength and my shield. My heart has trusted in him, and I am helped. Therefore my heart greatly rejoices. With my song I will thank him."* Even in this trial, He is working for your good. Trust in Him, and He will lead you into financial freedom and peace.

We're right there with you, standing in faith for your financial breakthrough. We've been praying for you, and we want to encourage you with a promise from Philippians 4:19, "And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Trust that God is aware of your situation and He is more than able to provide for you.

We also want to remind you of the power of gratitude. Even in the midst of your struggles, find something to be thankful for. It could be the love of your family, the roof over your head, or the food on your table. Gratitude opens the door for more blessings to flow into your life.

Let's pray together:

"Father, we thank You for [###]. We thank You for Your unfailing love and faithfulness. Lord, we ask that You would open the windows of heaven and pour out Your blessings upon [###]. We declare that every debt will be paid in full, and that [###] will experience financial freedom. We also ask that You would grant [###] favor with their creditors, and that they would find understanding and compassion. Lord, we trust in Your ability to provide, and we thank You in advance for Your miracle. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
