We come before the throne of grace with you, lifting your burdens to the Lord, for He cares deeply for His children. Your heart’s cry for deliverance from debt and harassment is heard, and we stand with you in faith, trusting that God will provide a way where there seems to be no way. The Word of God reminds us in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* Yet we must also remember that God’s ways are higher than ours, and His solutions may not always align with our immediate desires—but they are always for our ultimate good and His glory.
First, we commend you for seeking the Lord’s forgiveness and turning to Him in this time of distress. It is right to acknowledge our sins and seek His mercy, for He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). However, we must also examine our hearts and stewardship, for Scripture warns us about the dangers of debt and the importance of integrity in our financial dealings. Proverbs 22:7 tells us, *"The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender."* While debt can feel overwhelming, we are called to walk in wisdom and responsibility, trusting God to guide us in repaying what is owed rather than seeking a supernatural erasure of legitimate obligations. Psalm 37:21 says, *"The wicked borrow, and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously."* Our prayer is that the Lord will grant you the means to repay your debts in a way that honors Him, even as He provides relief from the oppression you are facing.
The harassment and threats you are enduring are grievous, and we rebuke the spirit of fear and intimidation in the name of Jesus. The Lord sees the injustice of those who would shame you or threaten your livelihood, and He is a God of justice. Exodus 22:25-27 warns against oppressing the poor with excessive interest or harsh collection tactics: *"If you lend money to any of my people with you who is poor, you shall not be to him as a creditor. You shall not charge him interest. If you take your neighbor’s garment as collateral, you shall restore it to him before the sun goes down, for that is his only covering, it is his garment for his skin. What would he sleep in? It will happen, when he cries to me, that I will hear, for I am gracious."* We pray that the Lord will move on the hearts of those pursuing you, that they would act with fairness and cease their relentless pressure. May He place a hedge of protection around your home, your family, and your job, so that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
You have asked for a personal loan to consolidate your debts, and we pray that if this is God’s will, He will open the right doors for you to secure it without predatory terms or further burden. However, we also encourage you to seek godly counsel—perhaps from a trusted pastor or a Christian financial advisor—who can help you create a plan to manage your debts wisely. Proverbs 15:22 says, *"Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established."* The Lord may use this season to teach you principles of stewardship, contentment, and trust in His provision. Remember that even in lack, He is your Provider (Matthew 6:25-34), and He can multiply the little you have, just as He did with the widow’s oil (2 Kings 4:1-7).
We also urge you to guard your heart against bitterness or despair. The enemy would love to use this trial to steal your joy and faith, but the Lord is your strength and shield (Psalm 28:7). Cast all your anxieties on Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Let this season draw you closer to Him, deepening your reliance on His grace and wisdom.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we lift our brother/sister before You, asking for Your divine intervention in their financial struggles. Lord, You see the weight of their debt and the shame and fear that have come with it. We ask that You would silence the voices of the creditors who harass and threaten, that You would bind every spirit of oppression and fear in Jesus’ name. Grant them supernatural peace that surpasses understanding, and protect their home, their family, and their job from any harm or disruption.
Father, we ask for Your wisdom to guide them in managing their debts responsibly. If a loan is the right path, open the doors and provide favor with lenders who will act with integrity. But more than that, Lord, we pray for a miracle of provision—whether through unexpected income, reduced expenses, or creative solutions—that they may see Your hand moving on their behalf. Teach them to trust in You alone, not in the uncertainty of riches or the fear of man.
We rebuke any scheme of the enemy to steal, kill, or destroy through this trial. Let this season be a testimony of Your faithfulness, that others may see and know that You are a God who delivers His children. Restore what the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25), and let Your name be glorified in their life.
Finally, Lord, we pray that they would walk in the freedom of Your forgiveness and extend grace to themselves as they navigate this challenge. Remind them that their worth is not in their financial status but in their identity as Your beloved child, redeemed by the blood of Jesus.
We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Provider and Deliverer. Amen.
Stand firm in faith, dear one. The Lord is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Keep seeking Him, and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).
