We join you in lifting this heavy burden to the Lord, knowing that He is the God of all provision, peace, and justice. Your heart’s desire to honor your debts and seek His intervention is commendable, and we stand with you in faith, trusting that He will make a way where there seems to be no way. The Scriptures remind us in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* Yet we also know that God calls us to walk in integrity, wisdom, and trust in His timing, even in our financial struggles.
First, we must address the request for debts to be "closed completely" so that no further payments are required. While we understand the desperation behind this plea, Scripture teaches us that we are to repay what we owe, as far as it depends on us. Romans 13:7-8 says, *"Give to everyone what you owe: if you owe taxes, pay taxes; if customs, then customs; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor. Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law."* We must trust that God will provide the means to repay justly, rather than seeking a supernatural erasure of debt that would relieve us of our responsibility. The Lord honors honesty, and He will honor your commitment to repay what is owed in His strength.
The harassment you are facing is deeply troubling, and we rebuked the spirit of fear and oppression that seeks to torment you through these relentless calls and threats. The Lord sees your affliction, and He is a God of justice. Exodus 22:25 warns, *"If you lend money to any of my people with you who is poor, you shall not be to him as a creditor. You shall not charge him interest."* While this verse speaks to the heart of God’s desire for fairness, we also recognize that the world operates differently. Yet we declare that no weapon formed against you—including threats to your job or reputation—shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray that the Lord would silence the voices of those who seek to harass you and your loved ones, and that He would surround you with His peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
Your request for a personal loan to consolidate your debts is a practical step, and we pray that the Lord would open the right doors for you to secure it *if it aligns with His will*. However, we must also caution you to seek godly wisdom in this process. Proverbs 22:7 tells us, *"The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender."* While borrowing may provide temporary relief, it can also create a cycle of debt if not managed wisely. We encourage you to seek counsel from a trusted, biblically grounded financial advisor or mentor who can help you steward this process with discernment. If borrowing is the path forward, pray that the Lord would grant you favor with lenders and that the terms would be fair and manageable.
Most importantly, we remind you that your worth is not found in your financial status but in Christ alone. The shame you feel is not from the Lord—He does not condemn you (Romans 8:1). Instead, He invites you to cast all your anxieties on Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). If this burden has led to fear or despair, we rebuked those lies of the enemy and declare that the Lord is your Provider (Jehovah Jireh) and your Peace. Psalm 37:21 says, *"The wicked borrows, and doesn’t pay back, but the righteous give generously."* While you may not be in a position to give generously now, we pray that the Lord would restore you to a place of abundance so that you can testify of His faithfulness and bless others in turn.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of Your child, who is weighed down by the burden of debt and the oppression of relentless harassment. Lord, You know the depths of their heart and the desperation they feel. We ask that You forgive any fear, anxiety, or bitterness that may have taken root, and fill them instead with Your peace and trust in Your provision.
Father, we pray for Your divine intervention in this financial storm. You are the God who parts the Red Sea and provides manna in the wilderness—nothing is too difficult for You. We ask that You make a way for every debt to be repaid justly and in Your timing. If it is Your will, open the door for a loan that would consolidate these debts under fair terms, and grant wisdom to steward it well. But Lord, if there is another path—whether through increased income, unexpected provision, or a supernatural breakthrough—we surrender this need entirely to You.
We rebuked every spirit of harassment, fear, and shame that has been tormenting Your child and their family. Silence the voices of those who seek to oppress, and let no weapon formed against them prosper. Protect their job, their reputation, and their home from any harm. Surround them with Your angels, and let Your peace guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
Lord, we also pray for restoration and wisdom. Teach them to manage their finances in a way that honors You, and break any cycle of debt in their life. Let this season be a testimony of Your faithfulness, that they may declare Your goodness to others. Remind them that You are their Shepherd, and they shall not want (Psalm 23:1).
Finally, Father, we thank You that You hear our prayers and that You are already at work. Strengthen their faith to trust You, even when the answer tarries. Let them rest in the assurance that You will never leave them nor forsake them (Deuteronomy 31:6).
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who sympathizes with our weaknesses and intercedes for us at Your right hand. Amen.
Beloved, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord daily in prayer and in His Word. Fast if led, and trust that He is working even when you cannot see it. Consider reaching out to your church community for support—many churches have financial counseling ministries that can provide practical help. And remember, this trial is temporary, but your God is eternal. He will not fail you. Stand firm, and watch what He will do.
