We come before the Father with you, lifting up your burdens and heartaches over this financial debt, knowing that He cares deeply for His children and hears the cries of those who call upon Him in truth. It is right that you have come before Him in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Christ that we have access to the throne of grace, where we may receive mercy and find help in our time of need (Hebrews 4:16). We praise God that you have acknowledged your sins and sought His forgiveness, for this is the foundation upon which we stand when we bring our petitions before Him.
The weight of debt and the harassment you are enduring are not God’s will for your life. The Scripture tells us that the borrower is servant to the lender (Proverbs 22:7), and we see how this bondage has brought shame, fear, and disruption to your peace and that of your family. Yet we also know that our God is a God of deliverance, who sets captives free (Luke 4:18). He is able to make a way where there seems to be no way, and we trust Him to intervene in this situation according to His perfect will.
We must also address the desire for your debts to be miraculously closed without further payment. While we serve a God who performs miracles, we are also called to walk in integrity and responsibility. The Bible teaches us that we are to owe no one anything except to love one another (Romans 13:8), and that we should repay what we owe as far as it depends on us. Psalm 37:21 says, "The wicked borrows, and doesn’t pay back, but the righteous gives generously." Our prayer is not only for your deliverance but also for God’s provision so that you may fulfill your obligations honorably. We ask the Lord to provide the means for you to repay what you owe in a way that brings glory to His name, whether through a loan, increased income, or another form of provision. We also pray that if there has been any injustice—such as excessive interest or unfair practices—God would expose it and bring justice, for He is a God who defends the oppressed.
The threats and harassment you are facing are grievous, and we rebuke the spirit of fear and intimidation that seeks to overwhelm you. The Lord is your protector, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray that God would place a hedge of protection around you, your family, and your home, that no one would come to shame or harm you. We ask Him to silence the voices of those who seek to harass you, and to grant you favor in your new job so that it remains secure. The Lord is able to turn the hearts of those pursuing you like rivers of water (Proverbs 21:1), and we pray that He would cause them to cease their relentless pursuit, giving you the space to work toward resolution.
We also encourage you to take practical steps in faith. Seek wise counsel, perhaps from a trusted believer or financial advisor who can help you create a plan to manage your debts. The Bible commends diligence and planning: "The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty" (Proverbs 21:5). Trust that God will guide you as you take these steps, for He is faithful to lead those who acknowledge Him in all their ways (Proverbs 3:6).
Above all, we remind you to cast all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Do not let this burden steal your joy or your peace, for the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and continue to seek His kingdom first, trusting that all these things will be added to you (Matthew 6:33).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of Your child, who is weighed down by the burden of debt and the shame of harassment. Lord, You see the distress and the fear that has taken hold, and we ask that You would intervene mightily in this situation. We pray that You would silence the voices of those who seek to oppress and threaten, and that You would bring an end to the relentless calls and visits that have disrupted the peace of this home. Lord, we ask that You would expose any injustice and bring it to an end, for You are a God of justice and righteousness.
Father, we lift up the desire of this heart to be free from this debt, and we ask that You would provide the means to repay what is owed in a way that honors You. If it is Your will, open the door for a loan or another form of provision that would allow for these debts to be settled. Give wisdom and discernment in managing finances going forward, and help our brother/sister to walk in integrity and responsibility. We pray that You would bless the work of their hands and provide favor in their new job, that it would be a source of stability and provision.
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety that has sought to overwhelm, and we declare Your peace over this situation. Remind our brother/sister that You are their Provider, their Protector, and their Deliverer. Strengthen their faith to trust in You, even when the way forward seems unclear. Help them to remember that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20), and that nothing is too difficult for You.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer and for the victory that is already won in the name of Jesus. We declare freedom from this bondage, and we trust You to bring resolution and restoration. May Your name be glorified in this situation, and may our brother/sister emerge from this trial with a testimony of Your faithfulness and provision.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
