Blessings to overcome Financial debt

Roshan Dsouza

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, I come before you in the name of Jesus, asking for your forgiveness of all my sins and blessings. I am burdened with a debt and I am being harassed by calls and visits from the banks, which has brought shame to my family. Lord, I ask for your divine intervention and a miracle, so that debt collections agencies close my accounts completely and I will no longer need to make payments, as I have already paid them more than I borrowed. I am also receiving threats from the banks, warning of legal actions and that they will contact my friends and family to harass them. Additionally, I owe money with interest. My desire is to repay everyone. If these people continue to harass me or my contacts, it could jeopardize my new job and leave me unemployed again. Lord I ask for your intervention to stop harassment and repeated calls from every debt collection agency and individual to whom I have to repay to me, my family and friends, as their presence disrupts our peace. Jesus, please help that no one visit my home to whom I have to pay else that will create a huge problem. Please hear my prayer and grant me peace and resolution. Lord, I ask for your miracle and intervention by granting me a personal loan and I get the same without any hassle as it will help me to pay off all my debts. I ask this in Jesus name. Praise the Lord. Amen.

We join you in lifting up your burdens to the Lord, knowing that He is a God of justice, provision, and peace. It is good that you have come before Him in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Christ that we have access to the Father and find true rest for our souls. The Scriptures remind us in Philippians 4:6-7, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* Your heart’s desire to repay what you owe aligns with Scripture, for Romans 13:8 tells us, *"Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law."* This is a righteous desire, and we commend you for seeking to honor God in this way.

However, we must gently address something in your prayer. While it is understandable to seek relief from the harassment and oppression of debt collectors, asking that your debts be completely closed without repayment—when you acknowledge that you still owe—does not align with biblical principles of integrity and stewardship. Psalm 37:21 says, *"The wicked borrow, and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously."* Our prayer should never be for an escape from our responsibilities, but rather for God’s provision, wisdom, and favor to fulfill them in a way that honors Him. Proverbs 22:7 also warns, *"The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender."* This is a hard truth, but it reminds us that debt can become a form of bondage, and our ultimate goal should be freedom through righteousness, not merely relief from consequences.

We also recognize the deep distress you are under—the shame, the threats, and the fear of losing your job or peace. These are real and heavy burdens, and the Lord sees your suffering. The harassment you face is unjust, and we will pray earnestly for God’s intervention to silence the voices of the oppressor. Isaiah 54:17 declares, *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is from me,” says Yahweh."* Trust that God is your defender, and He will fight for you as you seek to walk in obedience and truth.

As for your request for a personal loan, we pray that if it is God’s will, He will open the right doors for you to consolidate your debts in a way that is manageable and free from exploitation. However, we must also caution you to seek godly wisdom in this. Proverbs 22:26-27 warns, *"Don’t be one of those who strike hands, of those who are collateral for debts. If you don’t have means to pay, why should he take away your bed from under you?"* If you pursue a loan, do so with great care, ensuring that the terms are just and that you are not trading one form of bondage for another. Seek counsel from wise and trustworthy believers who can help you navigate this path without falling into further snares.

Most importantly, we urge you to surrender this entire situation to the Lord, trusting in His timing and His ways. He may choose to provide for you in ways you have not considered—through unexpected income, the generosity of others, or even the cancellation of unjust interest. But even if the path is difficult, remember that God is refining you through this trial. James 1:2-4 encourages us, *"Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing."* Your faith is being tested, but the Lord is faithful, and He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear (1 Corinthians 10:13).

Let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of Your child, who is burdened by the weight of debt and the oppression of those who seek to exploit their suffering. Lord, You are a God of justice, and You see the harassment and shame they are enduring. We ask that You silence the voices of the enemy that seek to accuse and torment them. Rebuke those who would threaten or bring harm, and let no weapon formed against them prosper. Grant them peace in their home and protection over their job, that they may continue to provide for their family without fear.

Father, we ask for Your divine wisdom and provision. If there is a way for them to consolidate their debts justly, open that door. If there are debts that have been paid unfairly, expose the truth and bring righteousness to light. But above all, Lord, we pray that You would provide the means for them to repay what they rightfully owe, not as a burden, but as an act of worship and obedience to You. You own the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), and nothing is too hard for You. We ask that You would supply their every need according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19), whether through unexpected income, favor with creditors, or the generosity of Your people.

Lord, we also pray for their heart in this season. Guard them against bitterness, fear, or despair. Remind them that their worth is not found in their financial status, but in their identity as Your beloved child. Strengthen their faith to trust in You, even when the path seems impossible. Let this trial be a testimony of Your faithfulness, that others may see and glorify Your name.

We rebuke the spirit of fear and oppression in the name of Jesus Christ. We declare that no scheme of the enemy will prevail against Your child, for You are their shield and their exceeding great reward (Genesis 15:1). Lead them into paths of righteousness and financial stewardship, that they may walk in freedom and generosity in the days to come.

Finally, Father, we thank You that You hear our prayers and that You are working all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). We trust in Your timing and Your ways, and we surrender this situation into Your hands. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

Stand firm in your faith, dear one. The Lord has not forgotten you, and He will make a way where there seems to be no way. Seek His kingdom first, and all these things will be added to you (Matthew 6:33). Walk in integrity, trust in His provision, and remember that even in this storm, He is with you. Do not be afraid to seek counsel from your church or trusted believers who can walk with you through this season. You are not alone.

We're right there with you, dear friend. We feel the weight of your burden and we're lifting you up in prayer. We're so glad to hear that you're seeking to honor God in your desire to repay what you owe. That's a heart after God's own, and we commend you for it.

We want to echo the prayers of our sister in Christ who replied before us, asking for God's intervention, wisdom, and provision. We join her in praying for peace in your home and protection over your job. We also ask that God would grant you favor with your creditors, opening doors for just and manageable consolidation of your debts if that's His will.

But we also want to encourage you with these words: "Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken." (Psalm 55:22, NIV) Trust that God is working everything out for your good, even in this difficult situation (Romans 8:28). Remember, too, that God is not just interested in your financial situation, but also in your heart. He wants to draw you closer to Him through this trial, to strengthen your faith and trust in Him.

Let's claim these promises together:

1. "No weapon formed against you will prosper" (Isaiah 54:17)
2. "I will restore to you the years that the locusts have eaten" (Joel 2:25)
3. "My God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19)

We're believing with you for a miracle, dear friend. Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep walking in obedience. You're not alone. We're standing with you, and so is the God of all comfort (2 Corinthians 1:3). In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
