Blessings to overcome Financial debt

Roshan Dsouza

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, I come before you in the name of Jesus, asking for your forgiveness of all my sins and blessings. I am burdened with a debt and I am being harassed by calls and visits from the banks, which has brought shame to my family. Lord, I ask for your divine intervention and a miracle, so that debt collections agencies close my accounts completely and I will no longer need to make payments, as I have already paid them more than I borrowed. I am also receiving threats from the banks, warning of legal actions and that they will contact my friends and family to harass them. Additionally, I owe money with interest. My desire is to repay everyone. If these people continue to harass me or my contacts, it could jeopardize my new job and leave me unemployed again. Lord I ask for your intervention to stop harassment and repeated calls from every debt collection agency and individual to whom I have to repay to me, my family and friends, as their presence disrupts our peace. Jesus, please help that no one visit my home to whom I have to pay else that will create a huge problem. Please hear my prayer and grant me peace and resolution. Lord, I ask for your miracle and intervention by granting me a personal loan and I get the same without any hassle as it will help me to pay off all my debts. I ask this in Jesus name. Praise the Lord. Amen.

We join with you in lifting up your burdens to the Lord, knowing that He is a God of mercy, provision, and justice. Your heart’s desire to repay what you owe is honorable, and we commend you for seeking the Lord’s intervention rather than turning away from your responsibilities. The Scriptures remind us in **Psalm 37:21**, *"The wicked borrow, and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously."* Your willingness to repay aligns with God’s heart for integrity, and we trust He will honor that.

However, we must gently address something in your prayer. While it is understandable to desire relief from the weight of debt, asking God to supernaturally close your accounts so that you no longer need to make payments—when you acknowledge that you still owe—is not aligned with biblical principles. **Romans 13:8** tells us, *"Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law."* Similarly, **Psalm 37:26** says, *"All day long he deals graciously, and lends. His offspring are blessed."* We are called to be people of our word, even in financial matters. Instead of seeking a way out of repayment, we should ask the Lord for wisdom, provision, and favor to fulfill our obligations in a way that honors Him.

The harassment you are facing is deeply unjust, and we join you in praying for God’s protection and intervention. The Lord sees the oppression you are under, and **Exodus 22:25-27** warns against exploiting those in debt: *"If you lend money to any of my people with you who is poor, you shall not be to him as a creditor. You shall not charge him interest. If you take your neighbor’s garment as collateral, you shall restore it to him before the sun goes down, for that is his only covering, it is his garment for his skin. What would he sleep in? It will happen, when he cries to me, that I will hear, for I am gracious."* While this passage speaks to creditors, it reveals God’s heart for fairness. We pray that the Lord will move on behalf of those harassing you, either by softening their hearts or by supernaturally intervening to stop their unjust actions.

We also note your request for a personal loan to consolidate your debts. While this can be a practical solution, we encourage you to seek the Lord’s wisdom first. **Proverbs 22:7** reminds us, *"The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender."* If you pursue a loan, ask the Lord to guide you to a solution that does not place you under further bondage but instead provides a clear path to freedom. Consider seeking counsel from a trusted, biblically grounded financial advisor or a church leader who can help you create a plan to manage your debts wisely.

Most importantly, we want to remind you that your value is not found in your financial status but in Christ alone. **Matthew 6:25-26** says, *"Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they?"* The Lord knows your needs, and He is able to provide in ways we cannot imagine. Trust in His timing and His methods, even if the path forward seems unclear.

Let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister, lifting up their financial burdens and the distress they are facing. Lord, You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and nothing is too difficult for You. We ask that You grant them wisdom to navigate this season with integrity and faith. Give them favor with those they owe, that harassment would cease and that fair agreements would be made. If it is Your will, open a door for them to consolidate their debts in a way that brings glory to Your name and leads to true financial freedom.

We rebuke the spirit of fear and shame that the enemy seeks to place upon them. **2 Timothy 1:7** reminds us that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-discipline. Fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Protect their job and their reputation, Lord. Do not allow the enemy to use this situation to bring harm to their family or their livelihood.

Father, we also pray for supernatural provision. You own the cattle on a thousand hills, and You are able to meet every need according to Your riches in glory. Whether through unexpected income, wise stewardship, or divine connections, we ask that You make a way where there seems to be no way. Help them to walk in obedience, trusting You even when the path is difficult.

We declare **Philippians 4:19** over their life: *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* Strengthen their faith, Lord, and remind them that You are working all things together for their good, even in this trial. We ask these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord daily through prayer and His Word. **Matthew 6:33** says, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, and trust that He is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you. If you have not already, consider tithing and giving offerings as an act of faith, for **Malachi 3:10** promises that God will open the windows of heaven and pour out blessings when we honor Him with our finances.

Stay steadfast, and do not lose heart. The Lord is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you. We are standing with you in prayer, believing for God’s breakthrough in your life.

We're here for you, friend. We understand the weight you're carrying, and we want you to know that you're not alone. We've been praying for you, asking the Lord to intervene in your financial situation and bring peace to your family.

We've been reminded of a verse that we want to share with you: "Cast your cares upon the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken." (Psalm 55:22, NASB) We believe that God sees your situation and He cares. He is a God of justice and He will not let the wicked prosper at your expense.

We're also reminded of the parable of the talents (Matthew 25:14-30). While it's important to repay what you owe, it's also crucial to trust God with what He has given you. He has entrusted you with your resources, and He expects you to use them wisely and faithfully.

We encourage you to keep seeking the Lord, to keep praying, and to keep trusting. He is faithful, and He will not let you down. We're standing with you in prayer, believing for God's breakthrough in your life.
