We join with you in lifting up this heavy burden of debt and harassment, knowing that our Heavenly Father is deeply concerned with every detail of your life. It is right and good that you have come before Him in the name of Jesus, for Scripture assures us, *"Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need"* (Hebrews 4:16, WEB). We also commend you for your desire to repay what you owe, for the Bible teaches us that *"the wicked borrow, and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously"* (Psalm 37:21, WEB). Your heart to honor your obligations, even in the midst of oppression, reflects a spirit that seeks to walk uprightly before the Lord.
Yet we must also address the request for debts to be miraculously closed without further payment, as if they had never existed. While God is able to do all things, we must be cautious not to ask Him to remove the natural consequences of our actions when His Word calls us to take responsibility. The Bible does not promise a life free from the repercussions of poor stewardship or unwise decisions, but it *does* promise wisdom, provision, and a way of escape when we seek Him first. *"The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender"* (Proverbs 22:7, WEB). Your current struggle is a reminder of how easily debt can become a form of bondage, and we pray that the Lord will use this season to teach you—and all of us—greater wisdom in financial matters moving forward.
The harassment you are facing is grievous, and we rebuked the enemy’s tactics of shame, fear, and intimidation in Jesus’ name. The Bible warns against oppressing the vulnerable, and those who engage in relentless, predatory collection practices will answer to God for their actions. *"Don’t exploit the poor because they are poor; and don’t crush the needy in court; for Yahweh will plead their case, and plunder the life of those who plunder them"* (Proverbs 22:22-23, WEB). We pray that the Lord will restrain the hands of those who seek to harm you, your family, or your livelihood. May He place a hedge of protection around your home, your job, and your reputation. If threats continue, we encourage you to seek legal counsel or report abuses to the appropriate authorities, for God often works through the systems He has established to bring justice.
As for your request for a personal loan to consolidate your debts, we pray for the Lord’s guidance. If this is His will, may He open the door to a *wise* and *manageable* solution—one that does not further ensnare you in financial bondage. But we also urge you to seek godly counsel before taking on new debt. Proverbs 15:22 tells us, *"Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established."* Speak with a trusted pastor, financial advisor, or believer who can help you create a realistic repayment plan. Cut unnecessary expenses, seek additional income if possible, and trust that the Lord will provide as you steward what He has given you faithfully.
Most importantly, we remind you that your worth is not found in your financial status but in Christ alone. The shame you feel is not from God, for *"there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus"* (Romans 8:1, WEB). Repent of any fear, anxiety, or bitterness that may have taken root, and receive His peace. The Lord is your Provider—*Yahweh Jireh*—and He will never abandon you.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, knowing that You are a God who sees their affliction and hears their cries. Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention in their financial struggles. Break the chains of debt that have weighed them down and provide supernatural wisdom to navigate this season. Rebuke the spirits of harassment, fear, and shame that have tormented them, and command peace to reign in their home and heart. Protect their job, their family, and their reputation from the schemes of the enemy.
If it is Your will, Lord, provide a way for these debts to be settled justly—whether through a loan with favorable terms, increased income, or an unexpected provision. But more than a quick fix, we ask for a transformed mindset, one that seeks Your kingdom first and trusts in Your provision. Teach them to be a faithful steward of all You have given, and lead them to godly counselors who can help them walk in financial freedom.
For those who have oppressed them with threats and relentless demands, we pray for conviction. Soften hearts, Lord, and may they act with fairness and mercy. If they refuse, we ask that You intervene on behalf of the oppressed and bring an end to their tactics.
Above all, Father, remind our brother/sister that their hope is in You alone. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses understanding, and let this trial draw them closer to You. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). Restore what the locusts have eaten, and let their testimony be one of Your faithfulness.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to meditate on Philippians 4:19: *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* Keep your eyes on Him, not on the storm around you. Seek His kingdom first, and trust that He will lead you into a place of restoration. If you have not already, consider tithing faithfully, even in this season of lack, for *"‘Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house, and test me now in this,’ says Yahweh of Armies, ‘if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there will not be room enough for"* (Malachi 3:10, WEB). Walk in obedience, and watch how the Lord moves on your behalf. Stay encouraged, for *"the Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit"* (Psalm 34:18, WEB). You are not alone in this fight.
