Blessings to overcome Financial debt

Roshan Dsouza

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, I come before you in the name of Jesus, asking for your forgiveness of all my sins and blessings. I am burdened with a debt and I am being harassed by calls and visits from the banks, which has brought shame to my family. Lord, I ask for your divine intervention and a miracle, so that debt collections agencies close my accounts completely and I will no longer need to make payments, as I have already paid them more than I borrowed. I am also receiving threats from the banks, warning of legal actions and that they will contact my friends and family to harass them. Additionally, I owe money with interest. My desire is to repay everyone. If these people continue to harass me or my contacts, it could jeopardize my new job and leave me unemployed again. Lord I ask for your intervention to stop harassment and repeated calls from every debt collection agency and individual to whom I have to repay to me, my family and friends, as their presence disrupts our peace. Jesus, please help that no one visit my home to whom I have to pay else that will create a huge problem. Please hear my prayer and grant me peace and resolution. Lord, I ask for your miracle and intervention by granting me a personal loan and I get the same without any hassle as it will help me to pay off all my debts. I ask this in Jesus name. Praise the Lord. Amen.

We join you in lifting up your burdens to the Lord, for He cares deeply for you and longs to bring you peace and provision. Your heart’s desire to repay what you owe is honorable, and we commend you for seeking God’s wisdom in this trial. The Scriptures remind us in **Proverbs 22:7**, *“The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender.”* While debt can feel overwhelming, we serve a God who is greater than any financial stronghold, and He promises to provide for His children. Let us first address the spiritual foundation of your request, for without faith in Christ, even our petitions may lack the power of His name.

You have rightly come before the Father in the name of Jesus, and this is pleasing to Him. It is only through Christ that we have access to the throne of grace, as **John 14:6** declares, *“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.’”* Your acknowledgment of sin and plea for forgiveness is vital, for **1 John 1:9** assures us, *“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”* We encourage you to walk in repentance daily, trusting that God’s mercy is new every morning.

Now, regarding your financial struggles, we must first rebuke any mindset that seeks a miracle to *avoid* rightful repayment. While we understand the distress of harassment and the weight of interest, the Bible calls us to integrity in our dealings. **Psalm 37:21** says, *“The wicked borrow, and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously.”* Your desire to repay is righteous, but asking for debts to be *erased* without fulfillment may not align with God’s principle of honesty. Instead, let us pray for God’s provision *to* repay, for His wisdom in managing your finances, and for His protection over your reputation and employment.

The harassment you face is unjust, and we stand with you in asking the Lord to silence the voices of those who seek to shame or threaten you. **Exodus 14:14** reminds us, *“The Lord will fight for you, and you shall be still.”* Trust that God sees your affliction and will act on your behalf. He can soften the hearts of creditors, provide unexpected income, or open doors for a loan with fair terms—*if it is His will*. However, we must also examine whether borrowing more is the solution, or if God is calling you to a season of trusting Him for creative provision *without* further debt. **Proverbs 21:5** warns, *“The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty.”* Seek godly counsel—perhaps from your church—on managing your finances wisely.

Lastly, we must address the fear in your heart. The enemy uses financial bondage to steal peace, but **2 Timothy 1:7** declares, *“For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.”* Do not let anxiety rule you. Instead, cast your cares upon the Lord, for **1 Peter 5:7** promises, *“Cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you.”*

**Let us pray together:**

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is burdened by debt and the weight of harassment. Lord, You know their heart’s desire to walk in integrity, and we ask You to provide a way where there seems to be no way. Forgive any past mismanagement or sin in this area, and grant them wisdom to steward their finances according to Your Word.

We rebuke the spirit of fear and shame that has taken hold, and we declare **Isaiah 54:17** over them: *“No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment.”* Silence the voices of those who seek to threaten or humiliate them, Lord. Protect their job, their family, and their peace. If it is Your will, open a door for a loan with fair terms—or provide miraculously through another means—so they may fulfill their obligations without further bondage.

Father, we ask for supernatural favor with creditors. Softening hearts, canceling unjust interest, and bringing resolution that glorifies Your name. Teach them to trust You above all else, knowing that **Philippians 4:19** is true: *“My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”*

Break the cycle of debt in their life, Lord. Restore what the locusts have eaten, and let this season be a testimony of Your faithfulness. We bind the enemy’s plans to steal, kill, and destroy, and we loose Your peace, provision, and protection over them. May they walk in the confidence that You are their Provider, their Shield, and their Redeemer.

In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. **Amen.**

**Encouragement for You:**
While you wait on the Lord, take practical steps: seek counsel from a trusted believer or financial advisor in your church, create a budget that prioritizes repayment, and avoid taking on new debt unless it is *clearly* God’s leading. Remember, God often works *through* our obedience, not just *for* us. Stay in His Word, for **Psalm 119:105** says it is *“a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path.”*

If the harassment continues, document each instance and seek legal advice if necessary—God uses both prayer *and* wise action. Finally, guard your heart against bitterness or despair. This trial is temporary, but your testimony of God’s deliverance will be eternal. Keep praising Him, even in the storm. **“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed” (Psalm 34:18).** You are not forgotten.
