Blessings to overcome Financial debt

Roshan Dsouza

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, I come before you in the name of Jesus, asking for your forgiveness of all my sins and blessings. I am burdened with a debt and I am being harassed by calls and visits from the banks, which has brought shame to my family. Lord, I ask for your divine intervention and a miracle, so that debt collections agencies close my accounts completely and I will no longer need to make payments, as I have already paid them more than I borrowed. I am also receiving threats from the banks, warning of legal actions and that they will contact my friends and family to harass them. Additionally, I owe money with interest. My desire is to repay everyone. If these people continue to harass me or my contacts, it could jeopardize my new job and leave me unemployed again. Lord I ask for your intervention to stop harassment and repeated calls from every debt collection agency and individual to whom I have to repay to me, my family and friends, as their presence disrupts our peace. Jesus, please help that no one visit my home to whom I have to pay else that will create a huge problem. Please hear my prayer and grant me peace and resolution. Lord, I ask for your miracle and intervention by granting me a personal loan and I get the same without any hassle as it will help me to pay off all my debts. I ask this in Jesus name. Praise the Lord. Amen.

We join you in lifting up your burdens to the Lord, for He cares deeply for His children and is faithful to provide wisdom, protection, and provision in times of distress. Your heart’s desire to honor your debts and seek God’s intervention is commendable, and we stand with you in prayer, trusting that the Lord will make a way where there seems to be no way.

First, we encourage you to take heart in the truth of Scripture, which reminds us that our Heavenly Father knows our needs before we even ask. Jesus teaches us in Matthew 6:31-33, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Your focus on seeking God’s righteousness in this situation is vital. He is not unaware of your struggles, and He will guide you through this season.

We also want to gently remind you that while we can boldly ask God for miracles—and we do so with you—His ways are higher than ours, and His solutions may not always look like what we initially envision. Your request for debts to be completely closed without further payment, while understandable in your distress, must be surrendered to God’s will. He may provide in ways that require your faithfulness in repayment, wisdom in stewardship, or even unexpected opportunities to work toward financial freedom. Proverbs 22:7 tells us, *"The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender."* This is a hard truth, but it also highlights the importance of seeking God’s wisdom in how to navigate this season responsibly.

The harassment you are facing is deeply unjust, and we cry out to the Lord on your behalf for His protection and peace. The Bible assures us in Psalm 91:14-15, *"‘Because he has set his love on me, therefore I will deliver him. I will set him on high, because he has known my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him, and honor him.’"* Claim this promise over your life. The Lord sees the threats and the shame being brought upon you and your family, and He is your defender. We pray that He would silence the voices of those who seek to oppress you, that He would blind the eyes of those who would come to your home with ill intent, and that He would surround you with His peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

As for your new job, we declare God’s protection over it. The enemy would love to steal your livelihood and leave you in despair, but the Lord is your provider. We pray that He would establish the work of your hands (Psalm 90:17) and that no weapon formed against you—including threats to your employment—would prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Trust in Him to sustain you, for He is the one who opens doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8).

Regarding your request for a personal loan, we pray that if it is God’s will, He would provide the right opportunity with favor and without unnecessary burden. However, we also encourage you to seek godly counsel—perhaps from a trusted pastor or financial advisor in your church—who can help you navigate this process wisely. Proverbs 15:22 says, *"Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established."* Do not walk this path alone; let the body of Christ come alongside you with wisdom and support.

Lastly, we want to address the shame you mentioned. Shame is a tool of the enemy to isolate you and make you feel unworthy, but the truth is that Jesus has already borne your shame on the cross. Hebrews 12:2 reminds us to look to *"Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."* You are not defined by your debt or the harassment you face. You are a child of God, redeemed and loved. Lift your head, for your redemption draws near (Luke 21:28).

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister, who is burdened by financial debt and the weight of harassment and shame. Lord, You see the distress of Your child, and You are not silent. We ask for Your divine intervention in this situation. Father, we pray that You would supernaturally provide a way for these debts to be settled in a manner that brings glory to Your name. If it is Your will, Lord, we ask that You would move on the hearts of those who hold these debts, that they would show mercy and cease their harassment. Close the mouths of those who threaten and bring peace to this home.

Lord, we rebuked the spirit of fear and shame that has sought to overtake our brother/sister. Replace it with Your perfect peace and the assurance that You are fighting this battle on their behalf. Protect their new job, Father, and let no scheme of the enemy prevail against them. If a personal loan is the right path, open the doors with favor and without hidden snares. But above all, Lord, lead them in the way they should go. Give them wisdom to steward their finances well and to seek godly counsel.

We declare that this season of lack is temporary, for You, Lord, are the God of breakthrough. You turn mourning into dancing and ashes into beauty. Restore what has been lost, Father, and let this testimony be a witness to Your faithfulness. Strengthen our brother/sister’s faith, and let them see Your hand move mightily in their life.

We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who sympathizes with our weaknesses and intercedes for us before the throne of grace. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified. Amen.

Stand firm in your faith, dear one. The Lord is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Keep seeking Him, and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). We are praying with you and believe that God will bring resolution and restoration. Do not lose heart. Your breakthrough is coming!

We're right here with you, dear friend, standing in the gap and lifting your financial burdens to the Lord. We know that He sees your distress and hears your cries. In times like these, it's easy to feel overwhelmed and alone, but remember, you're never alone. We're here, and so is the Lord, every step of the way.

We want to encourage you to keep seeking the Lord's face in this situation. In Matthew 6:33, Jesus tells us, "But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." Trust that as you seek God's will and His righteousness, He will provide for your needs. He may not always do it in the way we expect, but He will always do it in the best way.

We also want to remind you of the power of praise. In Psalm 149:5-6, it says, "Let the faithful rejoice in triumph; let them sing for joy on their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand." Even in the midst of your struggles, you can choose to praise God. It's not always easy, but it's a powerful weapon against the enemy.

We're praying for you, dear friend. We're asking the Lord to intervene in your situation, to provide for your needs, and to give you peace and resolution. We're also asking Him to protect your new job and to guide you in the path of wisdom and financial responsibility.

Keep holding on, dear one. Your breakthrough is coming. Keep seeking the Lord, and trust that He is working all things together for your good. You're not alone. We're here, and so is the Lord. Keep fighting the good fight of faith. You got this!
