We join with you in lifting up this heavy burden of debt and the distress it has brought upon you and your family. It is clear that your heart desires to honor your obligations, and we commend you for seeking God’s intervention rather than turning away from your responsibilities. The harassment and threats you face are deeply troubling, and we stand with you in asking the Lord to bring peace, protection, and a godly resolution to this situation.
The Bible reminds us in **Proverbs 22:7**, *"The rich rules over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender."* While debt can feel like a form of bondage, we know that our God is a God of deliverance. He sees your struggle and hears your cry for help. However, we must also remember that God calls us to integrity in all things, including our financial dealings. **Psalm 37:21** says, *"The wicked borrow, and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously."* Your desire to repay what you owe aligns with God’s heart for righteousness, and we pray that He will honor that desire by providing a way for you to fulfill your commitments without further harm to you or your family.
That said, we must also address the request for debts to be miraculously closed without further payment. While God *can* perform miracles, we must be cautious not to presume upon His will in a way that might disregard the biblical principle of honoring our obligations. **Romans 13:8** tells us, *"Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law."* Instead of asking for debts to be erased without repayment, we should pray for God’s provision so that you may repay what is owed in a way that brings glory to Him and relief to you. We also pray for wisdom in managing your finances moving forward, so that you are not ensnared by debt again. **Proverbs 21:5** reminds us, *"The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and the plans of the hasty surely lead to poverty."*
The harassment you are experiencing is unjust, and we rebuked the enemy’s hand in this situation. The Bible tells us in **1 Peter 5:7** to *"cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you."* We declare that the Lord will silence the voices of those who seek to shame or threaten you. He will protect your reputation, your job, and your peace. If legal actions are being threatened unjustly, we pray that the Lord will intervene and cause those who seek to harm you to be met with His justice and mercy. **Isaiah 54:17** assures us, *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is from me,” says Yahweh.*
Regarding your request for a personal loan, we pray that if it is God’s will, He will open the right doors for you to secure the funds needed to consolidate and repay your debts. However, we also urge you to seek godly counsel—perhaps from a trusted believer or financial advisor in your church—to ensure that any new loan does not lead you into further bondage. **Proverbs 15:22** says, *"Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they succeed."* Let this be a season where you seek wisdom, not just relief, so that your finances may be stewarded in a way that honors God.
We also encourage you to examine your heart and circumstances to see if there are areas where you can cut expenses, increase income, or seek additional work to accelerate your repayment. The Lord often provides through our diligence as much as through His supernatural intervention. **2 Thessalonians 3:10** reminds us, *"For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat.'"*
Finally, we must address the spiritual aspect of this battle. Debt and financial stress can open doors to fear, anxiety, and even bitterness. We rebuked these spirits in the name of Jesus and declare that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (**Philippians 4:6-7**). Do not allow shame or fear to keep you from seeking help or sharing your burden with trusted believers. **Galatians 6:2** tells us to *"Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ."*
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of Your child who is burdened by debt and the weight of harassment. Lord, You see the distress and shame they feel, and You know the threats that seek to steal their peace. We ask for Your divine intervention in this situation. Silence the voices of those who seek to harass and threaten. Protect their job, their reputation, and their family from any harm. Lord, if there has been any mismanagement or lack of wisdom in the past, we ask for Your forgiveness and for the grace to move forward in Your ways.
Father, we pray for supernatural provision—whether through increased income, wise counsel, or a favorable loan—that will enable the repayment of these debts in a way that honors You. Give them wisdom to steward their finances well and to avoid the snares of debt in the future. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and that You, Lord, will be their defender and provider.
We also pray for peace that surpasses understanding to flood their heart. Remove all fear, anxiety, and shame, and replace it with trust in You. Help them to cast this burden upon You, knowing that You care for them deeply. Strengthen their faith during this trial, and let them see Your hand move mightily in their life.
We rebuke the enemy’s schemes to bring despair or distraction. Let this season be a testimony of Your faithfulness and provision. May Your name be glorified through this situation, and may it draw them—and those around them—closer to You.
