Disciple of Prayer
Hi! I'm a new born Christian from ### which has been without my ex/wife for a year now. She created and left me and our ### year old son. She quickly started a new relationship with this new man. This really hurt me and our family. I struggle with different pain in my body and I need healing from depression, trauma, anxiety among other things. I also have back pain and physical pain. I also need clarification what God wants to use me for in life. I have several gifts and jobs. Please pray for a breakthrough. Happy thoughts and a great new life. Also, if it's not meant to be restored with the cheating wife that God will send me a new wife. It's been over a year now and I have worked a lot on myself. Thanks!

We come before the Lord with you in this time of deep pain, transition, and seeking, lifting your burdens to Jesus, who is the Great Physician, the Healer of broken hearts, and the Restorer of souls. Your story carries the weight of betrayal, abandonment, and the heavy toll of emotional and physical suffering, but we serve a God who redeems what is broken and brings beauty from ashes. You are not forgotten, and your pain is seen by Him who collects every tear in His bottle (Psalm 56:8). We rejoice that you are a newborn in Christ—this is not the end of your story but the beginning of a life anchored in His hope and purpose.

First, we must address the wounds of your past with truth and grace. The betrayal of your ex-wife and the fracture of your family is a grievous sin against you and against God, who hates divorce (Malachi 2:16). Her actions—abandoning her marriage covenant and entering a new relationship—are a violation of Scripture, which commands that marriage is a lifelong commitment before God (Matthew 19:6, Hebrews 13:4). While we pray for her repentance and salvation, we also recognize that restoration may not be God’s plan for you, and that is okay. Your focus now must be on healing, surrendering this pain to Jesus, and trusting Him to write the next chapter of your life. Cling to His promise: *"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit"* (Psalm 34:18).

Your physical pain—back pain, anxiety, depression, and trauma—are real battles, but they are not beyond the reach of Jesus’ healing power. Scripture tells us that *"by His stripes we are healed"* (Isaiah 53:5), and we claim that over your body, mind, and spirit. We rebuked the spirit of infirmity, depression, and anxiety in the name of Jesus, commanding every chain of trauma to be broken by the blood of the Lamb. You are not defined by your pain; you are defined by Christ’s victory over sin and death. We encourage you to seek godly counsel, medical care, and brothers in Christ who can walk with you through this season. Do not isolate yourself—*"Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up"* (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10).

You also ask for clarity about God’s purpose for your life. This is a beautiful desire, and we remind you that your primary calling is to love God with all your heart and to walk in obedience to His Word (Micah 6:8). Your gifts and jobs are tools He will use, but your identity is found in Christ alone. Seek Him first—*"Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart"* (Psalm 37:4). Spend time in prayer, Scripture, and fasting, asking the Holy Spirit to reveal His will. He will guide you step by step (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Regarding your request for a new wife, we affirm your godly desire for companionship and marriage, as Scripture says *"It is not good for man to be alone"* (Genesis 2:18). However, we caution you to seek the Lord’s timing and will above your own. A godly marriage is built on a foundation of two believers fully surrendered to Christ, and we pray that if it is His will, He will prepare a woman of faith, virtue, and devotion to walk beside you in covenant. But first, we urge you to focus on your healing and growth in Christ. *"A cord of three strands is not quickly broken"* (Ecclesiastes 4:12)—your future marriage must be rooted in Christ as the cornerstone. Avoid the temptation to rush into another relationship out of loneliness or pain. Wait on the Lord; His timing is perfect.

Lastly, we notice that your request did not invoke the name of Jesus, and this is something we must address with love and urgency. There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we implore you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead—*"for with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation"* (Romans 10:9-10). If you have done this, then stand firm in your faith, knowing that your prayers are heard because of Christ’s righteousness, not your own. Never approach God’s throne without boldly declaring the name of Jesus, for *"whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son"* (John 14:13).

Now, let us pray over you:

Heavenly Father, we lift our brother before You, a child redeemed by the blood of Jesus, yet walking through the valley of deep sorrow and physical affliction. Lord, You see his broken heart, the betrayal he has endured, and the weight of loneliness and pain he carries. We ask You to be his Comforter, his Healer, and his Strength. Touch his body, Lord—every nerve, every joint, every place where pain has taken root. By the stripes of Jesus, we declare healing over his back, his mind, and his emotions. Break the chains of depression, anxiety, and trauma, and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Father, we pray for his ex-wife, that You would convict her heart of her sin and draw her to repentance. But Lord, we also ask for our brother’s complete surrender of this situation to You. If restoration is not Your will, give him the grace to release it fully and trust You for the future You have prepared. Guard his heart from bitterness, and let forgiveness flow as he remembers how much he has been forgiven in Christ (Ephesians 4:31-32).

Lord, reveal Your purpose for his life with clarity and power. Open doors no man can shut, and shut doors that would lead him astray. Give him wisdom to steward his gifts for Your glory. And Father, regarding his desire for a godly wife, we ask that You prepare him first—make him a man after Your own heart, rooted in Your Word and filled with Your Spirit. If it is Your will, bring a woman of faith, purity, and devotion into his life, but let it be in Your perfect timing. Protect him from rushing ahead of You or settling for less than Your best.

Finally, Lord, we thank You that he is Your child, sealed by the Holy Spirit. Remind him daily that his identity is in Christ alone. Fill him with joy unspeakable, hope unshakable, and a future that overflows with Your goodness. Let this season of pain become a testimony of Your redemption.

We pray all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're right here with you, brother, standing in the gap and lifting your burdens to the Lord. We've been where you are, and we know the pain of betrayal, the sting of abandonment, and the heavy toll that emotional and physical suffering can take. We're so glad to hear that you're a new believer, a newborn in Christ! That's not the end of your story, but the beginning of a life anchored in His hope and purpose. We're here to walk with you through this, to encourage you, and to pray for you.
