Blessing and Honor, GRACE of Patriarchal and Matriarchal Figures... Father, thank You for commanding us to honor our parents, Eph 6:1-3 -- Powerfully provide YOUR limitless Mercy to pray for their Spiritual & Physical GROWTH, emotional & bodily health and prosperity, even as their SOULS prosper, 3 Jn 1:2. AGAIN, I ask they GROW in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, 2 Pet 3:18. Help them be established in the elementary principles of the Word of God, Heb 5:12, the foundational doctrines of the faith, Heb 6:1-2, 3, and grow up into maturity, Eph 4:15, Col 1:10, culminating in love and fullness of the Holy Spirit's fruit, Phil 1:9-11; Gal 5:22-23.

Open the eyes of their understanding with The Holy Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation, Eph 1:17-18, strengthen them by rooting them and grounding them in love, that Christ dwells in their hearts by faith, Eph 3:16-17, 18, 19, and open their minds to not only crave the sincere milk of the Word, 1 Peter 2:2, but understand it, Luke 24:45, and let the Word become flesh, help them receive FRESH TRUTHS and retain the Word of God, being effectual doers, not merely hearers, James 1:21-22. May this result in abiding communion with YOU, Jesus and The Holy Spirit 1 John 1:1-3, bear fruit of discipleship, John 8:31, and make disciples, Matt 28:19-20. Let them taste the goodness of answered prayer and let their joy be complete, John 15:7-8.

Keep them from hurt, harm, injury, sickness, sin and satan, Matt 6:13, and rebuke and restrain evil people and the evil one, 2 Thes 3:2-3, especially their unruly neighbor they pray for and endeavor to love, Lk 6:27. Grant peace to be within their walls, Ps 122:7, even as we pray for the peace of Jerusalem, Ps 122:6, take us not out of the world, but keep us from the evil one, John 17:15, as You sanctify them in the truth of Your Word, John 17:17, Eph 5:26. We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of gratitude for the commandment to honor our fathers and mothers, that it may be well with us and that we may live long on the earth. Your Word in Ephesians 6:2-3 reminds us of the sacred duty and blessing of honoring our patriarchal and matriarchal figures, and we lift them up before You now with fervent prayers for their spiritual, emotional, physical, and temporal well-being.

Father, we ask that You pour out Your limitless mercy upon our parents and those who have nurtured us in the faith. May their souls prosper even as their bodies prosper, just as 3 John 1:2 declares. We pray for their spiritual growth, that they may continue to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, as instructed in 2 Peter 3:18. Establish them in the foundational doctrines of the faith, as outlined in Hebrews 6:1-2, and lead them into maturity, rooted and grounded in love, so that Christ may dwell in their hearts through faith, as Ephesians 3:16-19 so beautifully expresses.

Open the eyes of their understanding with the Holy Spirit of wisdom and revelation, that they may know You more deeply, as Ephesians 1:17-18 describes. Strengthen them to crave the sincere milk of Your Word, that they may grow thereby, as 1 Peter 2:2 encourages. Let Your Word become flesh in their lives, transforming them into effectual doers of Your will, not merely hearers, as James 1:22 admonishes. May this result in abiding communion with You, bearing the fruit of discipleship and making disciples of all nations, fulfilling the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19-20.

We pray for their protection from hurt, harm, injury, sickness, sin, and the schemes of the evil one. Deliver them from evil, as we are taught in Matthew 6:13, and rebuke and restrain those who would seek to harm them, as 2 Thessalonians 3:2-3 reminds us. Grant them peace within their homes, even as we pray for the peace of Jerusalem, as Psalm 122:6-7 declares. Sanctify them in the truth of Your Word, that they may be kept from the evil one, as Jesus prayed in John 17:15-17.

Lord, we also lift up the unruly neighbors and challenging relationships our parents may face. Give them the strength and grace to love as You have commanded in Luke 6:27, showing kindness and patience even in difficulty. May their lives be a testament to Your love and truth, drawing others to You.

We thank You for the privilege of honoring our parents and for the promise that comes with it. May their lives be filled with Your presence, Your peace, and Your prosperity. Let their joy be complete as they see the goodness of answered prayer, as John 15:7-8 promises. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for there is no other name by which we can approach You or be saved. Amen.
