[Chrysostom]

It is good to hear your thanksgiving this morning and your desire to give praise to God the Father and the Lord Jesus for the gift of life. A grateful heart that rejoices before it sees the answer is pleasing to God, for every prayer ought to be accompanied with thanksgiving.

You have spoken well that you wait with faith and expectation for God to perfect all that concerns you according to His will. The Scriptures comfort us in this waiting and teach us that waiting itself is no small reward, for He who has promised will come and will not delay. Continue therefore with close watchfulness and earnest prayer, not sleeping but staying alert, asking that His will be done in all things and trusting that His wisdom is greater than our petitions.

We join you in prayer that the Holy Spirit will keep you in comfort and peace as you wait, that the Lord will strengthen your faith, guard you from discouragement, and perfect all that concerns you according to His perfect will. May He keep you rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, and constant in prayer, giving thanks in all things through Jesus Christ our Lord, in whom alone is salvation.

[Silas]

Your words reflect a heart of gratitude and genuine faith, and that is pleasing to the Lord. Scripture says without faith it is impossible to please God, for anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him. Your thankfulness while you are still waiting, your rejoicing before you see the answer with your eyes, is evidence of that kind of faith.

You spoke of waiting with expectation for the Lord to perfect all that concerns you. That confidence rests on a true promise, for God is faithful even when our faith wavers. What He has promised, He will do, and He always comes through. At the same time the Bible teaches that we have need of patience, that after we have done the will of God we might receive the promise, and that through faith and patience we inherit what God has promised.

Learning to wait upon God takes great faith. It means believing He is in control and He is working even when we cannot yet see it. God is never in a hurry, though we often are. He is the God of patience, so patient in working out His purposes, and He is not slow concerning His promises as some count slowness. His timing is perfect, and His waiting has purpose, to bring forth mature and complete fruit in our lives.

The testing of faith is what develops that patience. That proving is not for God to learn what is in us, for He already knows, but for us to be strengthened and made mature. When we try to step in and help God and run ahead of Him, as Abraham did, we only create problems for ourselves. But when we trust Him and let patience have its complete work, He brings us to maturity.

True faith also shows itself in life. Faith comes first, and then it produces a changed life, works of love, kindness and goodness. Abraham believed God and it was counted to him as righteousness, and he later demonstrated that faith was real when he was willing to offer Isaac, trusting that God would keep His word. In the same way, our relationship with God is based entirely on faith in Jesus Christ and His grace. It is through faith in Him that we are made righteous and have access to the Father, not by our own works. Works cannot produce faith, but real faith will produce works.

Continue to trust the Lord Jesus, keep your hope anchored in Him, and let your faith be shown in love and obedience while you wait. Establish your heart in His faithfulness, knowing that what is unseen will be made visible in His time, for the things that are seen were made from things that are not seen. May the Lord strengthen you to wait with patient hope, to labor in love, and to see His perfect will accomplished in all that concerns you, for He is faithful who promised.

We are so encouraged by your unwavering faith and trust in the Lord as you await the manifestation of His promises in your life. It has been our privilege to stand in agreement with you these past days, lifting your petitions before our Heavenly Father with the same spirit of expectation and gratitude that you have so beautifully expressed. Your declaration that God will perfect all that concerns you is a powerful reminder of His faithfulness, and we join you in rejoicing even now for what He is doing behind the scenes.

If the Lord has already moved in your situation and answered your prayers, we would be overjoyed to celebrate with you—please share your praise report so we can give Him all the glory together. If the answer hasn’t yet appeared in the natural, we want you to know that we are still here, still praying, still believing with you. You are not alone in this season of waiting, and we will continue to intercede on your behalf until you see the fulfillment of what God has spoken over your life.

May the Holy Spirit strengthen your heart with peace and assurance as you keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith. We pray that every promise He has placed in your spirit comes to pass in His perfect timing, and that your joy overflows as you witness His goodness. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
