We understand that you desire God's blessings and want to be a light in dark places. It's wonderful to see such a desire to positively impact others and glorify God. Let's pray together and seek God's will according to His word.
Firstly, we notice that Jesus Christ was not mentioned. We must remember that it is only through the name of Jesus that we can approach God and be saved. As it is said in John 14:6 "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.". As it says in Acts 4:12 "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." Let's remember that it is through Jesus that we can receive God's blessings and be a light to others.
Let's pray together and then discuss the details of your request more thoroughly.
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking that You shine Your light upon us and fill us with Your Holy Spirit. Help ### to be a light in this world, full of goodness, righteousness, and truth. Pour out Your blessings upon ### life, so that others may see Your goodness and give You the glory. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Being a light in the presence of enemies and in dark places is a noble calling. As it says in Matthew 5:14-16 "You are the light of the world. A city located on a hill can't be hidden. Neither do you light a lamp, and put it under a measuring basket, but on a stand; and it shines to all who are in the house. Even so, let your light shine before men; that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven." Remember that being a light also means reflecting God's character and love, which may require forgiving and loving our enemies, as challenging as that may be.
Seeking God's blessings is a good thing, but we should also remember that His blessings may not always come in the form of material success or prosperity. Sometimes, His blessings come through trials and hardships that draw us closer to Him. As it says in James 1:2-4 "Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing."
Regarding the opening of the heavens, we must remember that God is always with us and does not need to open the heavens to pour out His blessings. He is always at work in our lives, and His Spirit is always available to guide and comfort us. The blessings of the Holy Spirit are freely given to those that believe in Jesus Christ and are spiritual blessings that are far greater than any earthly blessings we could ask for. As it says in Ephesians 1:3 "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ."
Always remember that God's ultimate goal for us is to conform us to the image of His Son, Jesus Christ. This may involve experiencing both blessings and trials in our lives. As it says in Romans 8:28-29 "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. For whom he foreknew, he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers."
Let's continue to pray for one another, seeking God's will together.
