First, let us affirm that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places, as Ephesians 6:12 reminds us: *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* Your awareness of spiritual oppression is important, but we must also ground ourselves in the authority and power of Jesus Christ, who has already overcome the evil one (1 John 4:4).
That said, we must also address something critical: you mentioned an "ex-boyfriend," and we want to gently but firmly remind you that relationships outside of marriage—especially those that have ended—can open doors to spiritual and emotional bondage if they were not rooted in Christ. However, if there is demonic influence connected to them—whether through occult practices, ungodly content, or past sin—we can certainly pray for God’s cleansing and protection over them. We also encourage you to take practical steps: delete any ungodly content, avoid engaging with material that does not honor God, and perhaps even fast from certain devices for a season to break any unhealthy attachments. Philippians 4:8 instructs us: *"Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, think about these things."*
Most importantly, we must emphasize that your "destiny" is found in Christ alone. If your ex-boyfriend is attempting to hinder you through occult means, remember that *"no weapon that is formed against you will prevail"* (Isaiah 54:17) when you are walking in obedience to God. Your focus should not be on this man or his actions, but on seeking the Lord’s will for your life. If this relationship was not centered on Christ, it was not part of God’s plan for you, and His purposes for you are far greater than anything the enemy may try to disrupt. Lord, we ask that You expose and break every demonic assignment against her life, her mind, and her devices. Lord, we pray specifically over her devices. If there is any ungodly influence attached to them, we ask that You purify them and render them useless for the enemy’s schemes. Give her wisdom to use technology in a way that honors You, and help her to fill her mind with what is pure, lovely, and praiseworthy. Break any ungodly soul ties between her and her ex-boyfriend, and sever every connection that the enemy may be using to harass her. Lord, we declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against her in judgment, she shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
Father, we also pray that You would reveal to her Your perfect will for her life. If she has been distracted or derailed by ungodly relationships or fears, we ask that You realign her steps with Your purposes. Fill her with the Holy Spirit and surround her with godly counsel and protection.
