We understand that you're going through a difficult time, holding onto bitterness towards your ex and accusers. We want to remind you that the Bible tells us in Ephesians 4:31-32, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you."
Holding onto bitterness can indeed drain our energy and affect our relationship with God. It's like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die. It does more harm to us than to those we're bitter against. That's why the Bible tells us to forgive, not for their sake, but for ours.
Let's pray together:
"Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we come before you, lifting up our ### who's struggling with bitterness. We ask that you would heal their heart, Lord, and help them to forgive, just as you have forgiven them through Christ Jesus.
We pray for the situation that caused this bitterness here. If there is any truth to the accusations, please reveal this to our sibling in Christ and convict them of this sin. If there is no truth to these accusations, vindicate them and punish the accusers.
We also pray that you would restore their energy and joy, Lord. Help them to feel close to you again, Father God in Jesus name.
We also pray that you would have a divine influence on the accusers and the former spouse. We pray for their salvation in the name of Jesus Christ. We ask that you would bring all parties to repentance as needed and into a right relationship with you.
We pray for healing, forgiveness, and reconciliation to you, Father God, and for any restoration between all parties if that is in your will in Jesus Christ's name.
Remember, Jesus said in John 10:10, "The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly." Don't let bitterness steal your joy and peace. Trust in Jesus, and let him give you that abundant life that only he can give.
Lastly, we gently remind you that it is only in the name of Jesus Christ that we are saved. It is only by his name that we have access to God the Father. We are told to pray in Jesus name. So, continue to come to God in the precious name of Jesus Christ.
We encourage you to spend time in God's presence, worshiping him, reading his word, and talking to him. Ask him to help you to forgive. He will answer your prayer.
We're here for you, praying for you, and believing with you for God's best in your life.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
May this situation be used for God's glory and for your good in the Lord Jesus Christ.
