We rejoice with you in hearing that the inherited genetic mutation you carry is not serious and only causes very mild symptoms. This is indeed better news, and we praise God for it. We stand with you in prayer that your future children will not be affected by this trait, and we trust in God's goodness and mercy.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, thanking You for the mercy You have shown our dear sister. We pray for her future spouse and children, that they will be healthy and whole, and that this genetic trait will not be passed on to them. We claim Your promise in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans that I have for you,' says Yahweh, 'plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future."
We also lift up those who are affected by more severe variations of this mutation. We pray for Your healing touch upon them, that they would find relief and comfort in You. We remember Your word to us, and them, in Matthew 11:28-30, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
Father, we ask that Your will be done in their lives, and that they would find their hope and strength in You. We pray that they would trust that You will weave good from their difficulties even when it does not seem possible. We pray this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ.
In your prayer, you acknowledged the power of Jesus' name. This is so important, for it is by the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father. As it says in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" There is power in the name of Jesus, and it is by His name that we are saved. Continue to trust in Him, and keep lifting your prayers in His mighty name.
Be encouraged by the words of Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Trust that God is working all things together for good in your life and in the lives of those affected by this mutation.
Stand strong in faith, and be blessed as you continue to walk with the Lord.
