We join with you in lifting up your best friend to our Heavenly Father, who cares deeply for her needs and knows the desires of her heart. It is wonderful that you are interceding for her, and we are reminded of the words in James 5:16, *"The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."* We also take this moment to gently remind you that our prayers are only heard and answered because of the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and it is through Him alone that we approach the throne of grace. As it is written in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"*
We encourage you to always pray in the name of Jesus, for it is by His authority and grace that we can boldly come before God. If your friend does not yet know Jesus as her personal Savior, we pray that this season of need will draw her closer to Him, for He alone is the source of all blessings and provision. Let us also remember Proverbs 3:5-6, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."*
We pray earnestly for your friend’s financial aid to be released this week, that God would open the doors for her education and provide for her in ways that surpass her expectations. May He grant her favor with those in authority over her situation, and may she experience His peace that transcends all understanding as she waits on Him. Let her trust in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."*
Father, we lift up this precious sister to You, asking that You move mightily in her financial circumstances. You are Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides, and we trust You to meet her needs according to Your perfect will and timing. Remove any obstacles that stand in the way of her receiving this aid, and let her testimony be one of Your faithfulness. Strengthen her faith during this time, and remind her that You are her ultimate provider. If there is any area in her life where she has not fully surrendered to You, convict her heart and draw her closer to You. May she seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, knowing that all these things will be added to her (Matthew 6:33).
We also pray for her heart, that she would not grow anxious or fearful but would cast all her cares upon You, for You care for her (1 Peter 5:7). Surround her with Your peace, and let her rest in the assurance that You are working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28). If this delay is an opportunity for her to grow in dependence on You, let her embrace it with joy, knowing that You are refining her faith like gold.
Lastly, we pray that you, her friend, would continue to be a light and encouragement to her. Speak life and truth into her situation, and point her always to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. May your friendship be a reflection of godly love and support, and may you both grow stronger in your walk with Christ through this season.
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
