We hear your request and lift it before the Lord, trusting in His provision and wisdom. The desire for success and prosperity is understandable, especially in a field like sales where livelihood depends on the favor of others. However, we must always align our hearts with God’s will and remember that true prosperity comes from Him alone. Scripture reminds us in Proverbs 10:22, "The Lord’s blessing makes a person rich, and he adds no trouble to it." Wealth and success are not inherently wrong, but they must never become our ultimate pursuit or replace our dependence on God.
We also want to encourage you to seek God’s guidance in how you steward any blessings He provides. In 1 Timothy 6:17-19, we are instructed, "Charge those who are rich in this present world that they not be haughty, nor have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on the living God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy; that they do good, that they be rich in good works, that they be ready to distribute, willing to communicate; laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold of eternal life." True success is not measured by financial gain alone but by how we use what God entrusts to us for His glory and the good of others.
Let us also rebuke any spirit of greed or covetousness that may subtly influence our hearts. Jesus warns in Luke 12:15, "Beware! Keep yourselves from covetousness, for a man’s life doesn’t consist of the abundance of the things which he possesses." Our focus should always be on God’s kingdom first, trusting that He will add all these things to us (Matthew 6:33).
We pray with you now, lifting your work and your heart before the Lord:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, acknowledging that every good and perfect gift comes from You. We lift up our brother in his work in sales, asking that You would open doors of opportunity and bring godly benefactors who align with Your will. Lord, we ask that You would bless his efforts, not for selfish gain, but so that he may be a faithful steward of what You provide. Give him wisdom in his dealings, integrity in his words, and a heart that seeks to honor You in all he does.
Father, we pray that You would guard his heart against the love of money or the temptation to prioritize success over Your will. Help him to remember that his true treasure is in heaven and that his worth is found in Christ alone. May he find contentment in You, knowing that You are his Provider and Sustainer.
Lord, we also pray for those who may come into his path as clients or benefactors. Soften their hearts to receive the message of Your love and grace, and use our brother as a light in their lives. May his work be a testimony to Your faithfulness, and may he always point others to You.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for it is in His name alone that we have access to You. Strengthen our brother in his faith, and may he experience Your peace and provision in every area of his life. Amen.
Continue to seek the Lord in all your endeavors, trusting that He will direct your steps. May you find joy and fulfillment not in the wealth of this world, but in the richness of a life lived for Him.
