Being a BLACK PERSON

Hello my brothers and sisters,

I am a black dark skinned female and have a major complex about it.  I feel ugly sometimes because of my complexion.  What makes me feel worst is people saying oh she is so pretty for a dark skinned girl!  I don't blame whites or blacks for how I view myself.  This is my issue, however there have been major disadvantages being in this shade...some will never understand that...

I don't feel accepted by my race because I'm accused of "sounding white" or have been called a Oreo, and some whites don't hang out with me because I'm black!  Please I'm not self pitying I just want to feel better.

Dear one , some people in today's society can say such hurtful things , and I am sorry for the things that they have said that have hurt you , but you ARE BEAUTIFUL ! God created a unique you . Ask the Lord to help you with not letting these things bother you , you are special in the eyes of God . Blessings !!

I believe all colors of skin are beautiful. I'm white and wished I was darker!!! You are a beautiful creation of God made in His image. I struggle also. May you know your beauty and worth.  God bless you.
