Thank you for praying. I hit the wrong button. This was supposed to be a praise report, and I didn't finish it. I don't know how to delete prayer request. Will finish prayer request tomorrow. We are thrilled to hear about the joyous occasion you attended, celebrating the union of two lives in marriage. It is a blessing to witness the coming together of a godly couple, and we are thankful for the wonderful time you had with the bride's family and friends.
Marriage is a sacred institution, designed by God to be a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. As it is written in Ephesians 5:31-32 WEB: "For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will be joined to his wife. And the two will become one flesh. This mystery is great, but I speak concerning Christ and of the assembly."
Let us pray for the newlywed couple, that their marriage would be a reflection of Christ's love for the church, and that they would grow together in faith and love.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today to lift up this newly married couple. We ask that You would bless their union and guide them as they begin their journey together as husband and wife. Help them to love each other as Christ loves the church, and to grow in their faith and commitment to one another.
Lord, we also pray for the one who submitted this request. We ask that You would continue to surround them with godly friends and family, and that they would seek Your will in all their relationships. If they are not currently in a relationship, we pray that You would guide them to a godly spouse when the time is right. If they are currently in a relationship, we pray for them to be committed to seeking a marriage that honors God.
Father we pray for all of us to pursue you with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength. Give us a heart for you and your will in our life.
We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, who gave Himself up for the church, that He might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word Amen.
