We lift up this heartfelt request before the Father, knowing that He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. The loss of a child is one of the deepest sorrows a person can endure, and we grieve with your mom’s cousin over the passing of his son. The pain of such a loss lingers, especially on milestones like birthdays, and we ask the Lord to wrap His arms of comfort around this family as they remember their beloved son this month. May the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God, be their strength and peace (2 Corinthians 1:3-4).
We also pray for you as you seek to honor this young man’s memory through your mug puppetry. Naming a puppet after him is a beautiful way to celebrate his life and keep his memory alive. We ask the Lord to bless this creative endeavor, that it would bring joy not only to you but also to those who see it. We notice you mentioned being illegally fired from a zoo, and we want to encourage you to surrender any bitterness, anger, or sense of injustice to the Lord. Scripture reminds us, "Don’t say, 'I will pay back evil.' Wait for Yahweh, and he will save you" (Proverbs 20:22). Trust that God sees all things and will vindicate you in His perfect timing. He is the righteous judge, and He will make all things right. We pray that if there is any lingering hurt or resentment in your heart, the Lord would replace it with His peace and assurance that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).
Lastly, we commend you for ending your prayer "in Jesus’ Name." There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father (John 14:6, Ephesians 2:18). We are grateful that you acknowledged this truth, for it is the foundation of our faith and our prayers.
Heavenly Father, we ask that You would pour out Your comfort and healing on this family as they remember their son this month. Lord, be their peace in the midst of sorrow, and remind them that You hold their loved one in Your arms. We pray for our brother or sister as they create this puppet in memory of this young man.
